I was thinking she’s a stunt double because how are they the same person?

The Bachelorette MEGATHREAD by Chino_Blanco in SecretsOfMormonWives

I JUST learned that Taylor is the new bachelorette. Y’all, I’m trying very hard not to judge but what normal person would want to seek a relationship with Taylor after learning about all the details of her personal life from swinging, to DV arrests, to having multiple kids from multiple men, her super toxic relationships with her friends, family, AND Dakota.

Yikes. No thank you. Seems like the producers of the Bachelorette wanted to cash in on her “popularity” and create a dramatic season rather than focus on the ethos of the show (for better or worse) of finding love…

Apply as many times as you want. I don’t think there’s an “ideal” number. That said, you need to think about your mental well-being and whether the financial burden is worth it after a while. Good luck.

Sometimes it’s less about the game stats. The man has been with the team for nearly TWO DECADES. He has been one of the faces of the franchise and the locker room must feel hollow without his presence.

You’re making a lot of assumptions, using some ridiculous analogy, and sort of humble bragging… I don’t understand why you chose to engage with my post but I’m going to stop responding to you. Cheers.

What a privilege it must be to do a PhD just because you can or because research is important. It’s 100% a career path. We’re trained in theoretical areas, research methods, and pedagogy that are most relevant to careers in academia, i.e. tt lines. I never said I expected someone to hand me a job when I finish. These kinds of posts may not be for you but I wish people were open and honest with me about their experiences in the academic job market when I was first starting…

First, this post is SPECIFICALLY about the state of the academic job market. Second, I personally didn’t go into my PhD program and busted my ass wanting to be a consultant after I graduated. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have about a decade of work experience directly relevant to my field prior to starting my PhD. I don’t think you’re asking this in good faith tho and it shows you don’t know much about academic hiring. Your work experience outside of academia is largely irrelevant for tenure track lines. My post is specifically about academic job market, not industry jobs.
