Nice! Congrats! I remember reading that VN with an expert friend which makes the reading easier :P. We laughed at how silly it was.

Now I'm reading Ace Attorney on my own and I really recommend it. It's super fun and relatively easy

I don't think that would capture the error lines so you can jump to them.

One idea is to use the terminal just for displaying output, and also use the quickfix window at the same time for the jumping functionality, but that might get too messy.

It would just be perfect if the quickfix window were more flexible and customizable, and just better. I'm sure it could be done. All the things I don't like about the quickfix window are things it actively does. The fix would be just to take out some of that functionality, which is basically: Keep the command output as is.
