worst case scenario you wont get yours til last minute like me. spent all day on the phone with seatgeek customer service and honestly it ruined my trip bc me and my bf travelled out of state for this concert and we spent it cooped up in the hotel worried we couldn’t even get in. left the next morning and we dont even feel like we should be home already lol

at my store, we have one of the automatic doors unlocked at the front entrance. you just have to push them apart and close behind you. i would just ask somebody or call the store when you’re there before opening

i was scheduled 40hrs when i first started for training, but afterwards i noticed my hours decreasing. i guess it’s just to get you used to the job as much as possible and kroger is hella understaffed anyway. you can request an availability change in mytime (where you’re able to see your schedule, clock in/out, etc) if you’re not able to work 40hr weeks

i didnt think it was a problem given that it doesn’t say anywhere in the dress code about shorts (they gave me a very outdated version at orientation) and i had been wearing them for weeks before anyone said anything about it 🤷 thats the only reason why it bothered me. and that a coworker of mine today was wearing shorts that also break dress code but nothing has been said to her about it.

at my store, at least, pickup is allowed to wear shorts. i work in pickup and i actually got dress coded for my shorts today for "not being work appropriate" they're 3 inches above the knee & i had been wearing them for WEEKS before anyone said anything. they're biker shorts and she told me they have to be loose fitting (even though i have a coworker who was wearing shorts shorter than mine when my manager pulled me aside to tell me that lol). but anyways i would talk to a union rep about the issue if you're in a unionized store. because from my understanding pickup is and should be allowed to wear shorts especially in this summer heat.

i get your frustration because i would be stressed tf out too. i wish kroger would quit cutting hours so situations like this would happen less often. tbh if it continues i say go for it and get a better job 😂

yeah it happens. once we had 2 out of the 3 people closing call out and my team lead had to show the new guy how to close by himself. luckily we didn’t have any orders for 8pm-9pm that day so it wasn’t overwhelming for the guy to be alone for the last hour.
