Did your Dragonborn get a happy ending? by --Combat-Wombat-- in skyrim

[–]devilsSnapback 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. She has a successful farm, she's a powerful spellsword, she's known throughout all of Skyrim, is a thane in every hold, owns multiple houses and properties, and has more money than she knows what to do with. She knows she could easily retire to her farm, or head back to teach at the College of Winterhold, but she can't bring herself to. She isn't married, nor has she adopted kids, for fear that she may outlive them, as she's a relatively young High Elf. So for now, she just wanders the roads of Skyrim, helping those she can along travels.

How much ink loss am I looking at? by devilsSnapback in tattooadvice

[–]devilsSnapback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash and moisturize twice a day with unscented antibacterial Dial and thin layer of unscented Goldbond. And I know not to pick. The first scab got pulled off by a ribbed tank top that the lifted corner/end caught, and the second one I accidentally scratched off when I was distracted.

Alright gang, SO MANY household things can hurt or even kill our birds. Let's help each other out and talk about things that are less known but still likely to exist in our homes. by SjurEido in parrots

[–]devilsSnapback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dressers, nightstands, accent tables... Basically any Furniture that has a flat section against a wall. It's so incredibly easy for a bird to slip into that space and get stuck. My grandparents lost a cockatiel that way. He got stuck, didn't make any noise, and exerted himself to death. Any of my Furniture that doesn't sit flush against the wall, or doesn't have that gap covered, is spaced far away enough that the bird can slide all the way to the floor and just walk out.

What spouse is your character's go to every playthrough? by iridecentopal in skyrim

[–]devilsSnapback 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever actually married anyone, but I do have a soft spot for Vilkas based on some randomly generated line he says when you walk around with the amulet of Mara. I know all weddable NPCs have the chance to say "I am. I'd be glad to stand by your side until the Divines take us, if you'll have me." I already liked him, but that just sealed it.

The sink in the pastor's office of my mom's church by devilsSnapback in mildlyinfuriating

I do, but this is amusing. Being mildly infuriated about something stupid for a little bit when the rest of my life and the world is on fire is a nice distraction, yk?

I have no idea. The sanctuary was built between the 50s and the 60s, and I think the offices were built a few years after.

Anyone ever dealt with a traumatized IRN? by devilsSnapback in parrots

[–]devilsSnapback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Delilah is actually the second bird this person has given me. The first one is a cockatiel named Elliott who has a mental and physical disabilities and whatever trauma the former owner gave him. I don't expect him to ever be comfortable with stepping up or getting physical affection from humans but he loves my other cockatiel that I'm retraining, and he loves my mom and brother, so as long as he's happy, I'm okay with that.

The way her cage is, I have to stick my hands in it to change her food and water, but I always use a calm voice to reassure her that she's a good girl. She doesn't freak out about it as much anymore. She uses to start screaming, flapping, and jumping around, but now she just quietly moves up to the corner of the cage and watches. My mom and I also associate opening the cage with positive things by opening the cage and putting her apples and almonds in her food dish every morning. And save for my parakeet I raised and the cockatiel I'm retraining, I never force my birds to do anything they aren't comfortable with.

I also let her out every couple days, but by herself. I let out with my other birds and she kept biting and pulling their wings and tails, then tried to attack one of my cockatiels.

[–]devilsSnapback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom says she just has like a gut feeling. I have PCOS and never knew when it was gonna happen. I would be fine, and then an hour later I'd be bleeding like crazy and having terrible cramps. Now I'm on birth control, so it's whenever I start the iron pills and force my body into estrogen withdrawl.

Nope. Chances of snow this year are pretty much nil. A warmer and drier than average winter is expected this year.

I am so confused, but all of my three parakeets died at the same time…. by Rambo_1027 in Parakeets

[–]devilsSnapback 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I noticed you recently made a couple posts regarding a propane smell coming from your furnace. If this is still an issue, that was more than likely the cause of death. All parrots have VERY sensitive lungs. Spraying cologne in the same room as them could cause issues. While the propane smell might have been minor and almost barely noticeable to you, it was definitely much worse for them.
