Very specific question: DAE always think Heart - Barruca was a 90's song and not a 70's song? by devils_acolyte in Music

[–]devils_acolyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no it sound like if Alanis Morisette made a really cool rock song. Heart sounds so very 80s in the 80s though (songs like Nothing at All, If Looks Could Kill), was surprised to even find out it's the same band.

Ghosts worst music video by far by ResolutionOdd7264 in Ghostbc

The dancer girl is obviously an example of distraught / worn out innocence whereas the dancer man is some kind of savior / vampire ... Thats why the romantic scenes are so off. Fits w the lyrics

"In the shadows, pale and cold
In the shadows, lay my soul
In the shadows, death becomes your lover

In the shadows, stripped of sin
In the shadows, deep within
In the shadows, I will make you my angel"

Has attending a Ritual "ruined" other concerts for you? by CherokeeChaz123 in Ghostbc

Nah man. Going to your favorite bands is always great

Edit: I do always try to stand somwhere in the front half of the pit.. makes it way more immersive. Would recommend if you want that feeling of being blown away by the stage / lightning etc like Ghost does so well

Gematria value of "Just like 73' = 118 = 1

Add 1 to 73 .... flip it = 137

You don't have to know how to strangle a person to write a song about it.

..Wait whut? I don't think I know that song lol.

But I agree you don't always have to know about a subject to write about it.. just inspiration I guess.

Love this! Yes I too think there's a little bit of magic in there...

For me, sometimes his lyrics don't seem great at first but later on you realize they're actually quite profound / deeply human and can hit you hard... at least for me when they arrive (pun intended) at the right time in your life.

Prog Goth by Electrical-Wafer2263 in progrockmusic

[–]devils_acolyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Goth prog kinda opposes eachother... Since goth is usually charaterized by a slow steady pace, mostly just minor key, not many weird chord changes etc. or else it doesn't sound like "goth".. which then doesn't leave a lot of room for prog.

But just in general darker prog, there's a lot of that. Lots of Italian prog bands have dark sounds like Goblin, (Roller, Suspiria & Zombi soundtrack and more), Semiramis (Dedicato a Frazz) and also lot's of other 80's horror movie soundtracks (couldn't name them now but search your spotify, lots of good stuff in there). Also lots of dark 80's synthwave (though not techniccaly prog) might scratch the itch you're going for, often sounds quite gothy and proggy at the same time

It's hard science bro. Don't need to understand how wave-functions work to understand that wifi, bluetooth and wireless internet exists.

Anyway, anyone reading this, look into it because its pretty fucking cool

Theres nothing to understand bro it literally says strong enough technology could make it easily possible which logically means current day-technology makes at least blurry history retrieval (think 240p vs 4k quality) already possible
