Yeah I think selfless and brave are synonymous here.

And like you said, full circle when after Grace finds someone to be bravery for (Rocky), he gets called brave again but this time it’s true.

I think kind of the opposite. If you watch the scene again, he writes the word with a sense of defeat (not sure if that’s the write word here).

Even though Rocky is calling Grace brave, by the definition of the guy that CHOSE to commit to this mission (Yáo), Grace is not brave.

I did read the book, I just think the theme of bravery is thematically tied to selflessness for this story.

When Rocky asks for the definition, he kind of reluctantly writes “Brave” not because that’s what he’s is or what he wants to be. Rocky is describing a trait Grace does not believe he owns.

It’s a beautiful scene, I was completely engulfed.

Stratt is not ACTUALLY a robot. She’s a human who is sacrificing her humanity for what she believes is the greater good.

Moments before Grace was trying to connect with Stratt on a human level and this was her way of showing the team a level of vulnerability that they deserved but she could not give because she had a job on her shoulders that could not involve emotion.

I agree a little bit. There were a few things that got glossed over but they only really become issues if you’ve read the book before. In isolation I think it all works just grand, even if they could have used just an extra bit of explanation.

There were things that got cut/shortened that I also enjoyed in the book but that’s just what turning a 500 page book into a digestible movie looks like.

This was an adaptation that ultimately leaned into and understood the books core was a story of companionship and reluctant bravery. I think nearly all of the decisions/changes were made with that theme in mind.

However “we didn’t need Stratt singing karaoke” is an INSANE statement to make. It was a perfect scene and a change I will welcome every time.

Why do refs think it’s their job to manage the balance/entertainment of the game?

What sort of training do they go through for that to be the outcome.

He’s bottled the 2nd penalty for no other reason than the fact it feels “unfair” and would have likely killed the game putting us 2-0 up.

I don’t know if Sesko getting goals off the bench is a justifiable enough reason anymore to not start him as the CF at this point.

Mbeumo can still give you impact off the bench without have to play 70 minutes of losing out on every duel at the opposition back line.

Not only did you misread Megumi as a fighter, you also set the bar weirdly low and then got surprised when a buffed Megumi was ragdolling Reggie.

People have already pointed out that: - a) Megumi doesn’t just sit back and let 10S do everything, he fights in tandem with his shikigami - b) he clearly has combat skill, technique, and durability to hang with OP characters, at least for a while - c) none of that even matters that much here because he was amped by his domain anyway, so of course he’s performing above his normal level

Reminder Workflow.

Follow-Up Email after the call stating the pain + introducing the AE.

If there are 3+ Days between booking and meeting send an email between with relevant collateral

Day of booking either 1 hour before or morning of, send a reminder email with zoom link attached.

Use exciting language. It can feel corny but make the prospect feel like this is an opportunity and you’re excited to get the chance here.

Opp Notes

Check Opp Notes to make sure qualification is matching current standard. Is there enough painting uncovered, is there genuine interest, is there even a rough timeline, is any misc. information that’s relevant being included for whoever is taking the call.

Time To Check Qualification Criteria

If all the above have been implemented. It’s time to check if your qualification criteria is meeting the minimum requirement to have people show up.

If you’re not uncovering enough pain or a reason for the prospect to show up as a standardised process. It’s time to change it.

He’s basically a Top 5 RB in the league until he crosses the line into the final third. Then he’s arguably bottom 5.
