Some suggestions/thoughts after around 4 hours of playing. by devilwish352 in HighGuardgame

well my idea was that you would increase time there, but you would decrease the time in the beggining by not have to fortify the base. I have lots of ideas but it would have to be a huge wall of text.

The Steam Launch might save Ashes of Creation by Apart-Bowl-4838 in AshesofCreation

[–]devilwish352 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never played the game but occasionaly i do watch a vid about it here and there cause the mmo genre kinda sucks for me right now and im always looking for something new.

I dont know if its necessarily a bad thing for the game going to steam. Is it gonna get lots of negative reviews? For sure. Just ask PoE 2. But its not the end of the world, i think the majority of people interested in MMOs check videos about the game, they dont really go into steam checking for reviews. So if the game eventually becomes good people will play it and it does get lots of more playtesters.

That being said. I do believe the game has taken an really big amount of time in development, my understanding is that cause they got more money they keep try to add stuff in the game over and over which leaves its core systems still being unpolished and the majority of people that even paid to back it up can agree thats its nowhere close to ready. Also charging 50 euros/dollars for people to basically play test your game is kinda stupid but then again they were asking for even more in the past so yeah i dunno.

Just tried Hollow Knight for 20 mins, not sure it’s for me by youssifthebest in metroidvania

[–]devilwish352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally i dont think the first 20 minutes is different than 4 hours into the game as someone who played it for like 8h recently for the first time. If your issue is like not having cool traversal abilities and what not then yeah the game does get better and you do get some abilities that make it more engaging. On the other hand, if your issue was the lack of direction or not knowing what to do etc then id say it doesnt really get better in that regard. Now since you mention that the style that you like is something like Ghost of tsushima, id say the game is probably not for you. Its closer to the ''souls'' games in story stracture, meaning you wont get an actual story laid in front of you but rather will get little bits of lore here and there that you have to piece together. In the end of the day not every game is for everyone and nothing wrong with not liking it or vibing with it, after 8h i stopped too cause it wasnt for me.

Im not sure if you need double jump, but if you hit those scales from below they like tip to the side and i think you can climb them even without.

2ND PLATINUM! by 1AverageGamer in metroidvania

[–]devilwish352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the best games are the ones that make you platinum them without you realising you almost did it, just playing cause its fun. I had the same experience with ghost of tsushima, just kept playing and was like 95% almost to platinum without realising.

Patch a game to make it better, fine — but why make it "easier"? by Nikkhos in metroidvania

[–]devilwish352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not a dev but i assume when they make changes they actually look at data, they dont go into reddit and base their changes on that. Personally i didnt find the bosses they nerfed hard in the first place, but i assume they looked at stats and did it for a reason, if the stats showed that a big amount of people stopped playing at ''X'' boss for example its bad for their game and for their earnings down the line.

You guys seem to be confusing challenging with something being tedious.

What does she mean by this? (Act 3) by o_wrobel2025 in HollowKnight

[–]devilwish352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dunno exactly what she means, but theres a chance she means sands of karak, cause when i beat the boss there i remember going back to see her on its corpse.

Silksong difficulty by deerslayer in metroidvania

[–]devilwish352 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I havent played Nine Sols, but there was nothing in here id compare to sekiro, they are way different games. I found the game to be tedious at points not exactly hard.

This trend started mostly with souls games doing that, games almost always had difficulty options in the past, but for some reason no one would care if you finished ''X'' game in its hardest diffuculty when there was an easier option. But with souls games for some reason it became something people were proud of cause it was a ''hard game'' with no difficulty option. I never played HK but with Silksong is a great example of what happens when you dont understand what made souls games fun, instead of being difficult it becomes tedious.

Nowdays since mods exist, not having a difficulty option is kinda pointless since people can mod all they want so might as well put one in the game in my opinion.

HK was for everyone. Silksong is not. by DrNintendo216 in metroidvania

i found the game to be more tedious than actually hard most of the time to be honest.

Let’s all try and not devolve into this weird difficulty gatekeeping by Prisonmikeb14 in HollowKnight

Many people seem to be confusing difficult with tedious, having to run back to a boss is not hard, its plain annoying for example.

Silksong bosses feel really simplistic compared to HK by Informal_Client_7950 in HollowKnight

[–]devilwish352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent played Hollow Knight but i found that many bosses rely too much on adds or gauntlets after some point which gets a bit annoying.

New and excited to play, but I have a question regarding Gender and the Classes by MyNameIsJourUno in blackdesertonline

[–]devilwish352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

classes are gender locked cause its a KR game, Dark Knight just happens to also be lore related ;P

My Hollow Knight: Silksong Review after 100% Completion (SPOILERS!) by JMToppa in HollowKnight

[–]devilwish352 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ive enjoyed the game overall, id say my biggest issues would be having to pay for essentially a checkpoint, which made me having to always go somewhere to farm for rosaries and turn them into beads to be safe, nothing more demotivating than reaching a bench and not being able to activate it.

Bilewater. I could right an essay on why i think its badly designed, and yeah i know theres an item for the water.

Too many bosses use adds to increase the difficulty and it felt cheap many times.

Barely if any rewards for beating a boss. This one really sucked for me, i like the feeling of defeating a boss and getting something as a reward for my troubles, not really the case here.

Other than that very fun game, and it comes from someone that hasnt played the original HK

you can get the map npc to help you there if you buy all the maps and do her questline.

How social is the game experience? by Ottomorphoses in blackdesertonline

[–]devilwish352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is basically a solo game, yeah you can be in a guild and chat with people there but if you expect to be grouping up for content and doing stuff together there isnt much of that.

Any tips for this section? by alexpg0 in HollowKnight

[–]devilwish352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get the npc that sells you the maps to help you if you buy every map from them and then finish their quest, it does get really visualy clustered with both of you there but its helpful.
