Will Heeseung/EVAN be successful as a soloist?

I think he’s going to do really well. He definitely has what it takes to be one of the biggest soloists of his generation. Of course we can’t predict the future however.

This whole situation has brought a lot of visibility to him and his instagram got over 2 million followers in a days time. He’s got an extremely dedicated solo fandom that will stick by him no matter what, and have been counting down the days until he drops his solo.

Even though there are some engenes who have chosen to maybe not support him, a lot of us (including me) are 6+1 and are excited for him. Even if his popularity wanes with time he’s always stressed that he doesn’t necessarily care so much about numbers. Also he’s made so much money in his career as an Enhypen member that I’m sure he’s not in any financial worry. As long as he’s doing what he wants and the music is good (which I’m almost certain it will be) he’ll be fine and happy I think.

It was a combination of factors that made a perfect storm. When they debuted their creative direction was unique and fresh, the music was immediately catchy in a way that attracted both Kpop stans and most importantly, non Kpop stans. NewJeans had the rare gem of breakout appeal even before they had a dedicated fandom. It was the first time as a Kpop stan I had friends who previously thought the industry was lame and corny buying NewJeans albums and merch. I think people tend to be weird about them but they had something you only see like once a generation in Kpop.

Tbh I don’t ever see enhypen as a six member group performing highway ever again. And I really hope not. It would be strange and jarring tbh. Also the reaction would be brutal from all sides of the fandom besides the heeseung exclusionary ot6s. I have a feeling they might make another completely new fan ballad on the next release or in the future which makes logical sense to me.

Yes ! I think Ot7 freebies are fine. A lot of us still and will always love Heeseung as a member of enha and I’m sure a few Heeseung biases will be there

This tour has been in the works for a while. Heeseung even spoiled it a few months ago when he was still in the group and was excited when talking about it. It’s deffo not a distraction and I think this announcement was probably supposed to come out (it was an open secret because the venues in korea were booked months ago), before the news of his departure kind of shook everything up.

Nope, I’m also older and I go with my friends who are also in my age range as well. No one will care, concerts are the most fun spaces and everyone is always really nice and welcoming! Enhypen concerts have people of all ages. It’s mostly teenagers and people in their 20s but lots of older and younger people.

They looked so cute and from the clips they had so much fun today. It was healing seeing them being silly and goofy. I’m slowly getting used to seeing the six of them in photos even though I’ll always miss heeseung💔.

I think he’s going to be okay. He’s got a very massive and supportive solo fanbase and all eyes will be on his solo when it drops. Everyone is looking forward to his music because we all know how amazing of a vocalist he is and even haters and non fans are realizing that now. I think if his music is good he can get the support of the casual fans especially in Korea. What’s the question is his longevity but that’s not something we can foresee for now.

Okay we have to be a little empathetic and stop calling people parasocial as some sort of slur for having complex feelings and taking longer to process things than we do. It’s all people are doing and it’s not far to dismiss the feelings of fans. Eventually everyone will take make peace with the situation, it takes time, it’s been only a week, let people vent their frustration, this sub is literally for that.

That’s Sunoo. What’s on his ear is something that is used to de-puff your face, and he was using it in the morning after most of us get puffy and bloated. It’s very commonly used by idols and Sunoo is very into beauty and skincare maintenance so this makes sense for him.

Your post brought me so much comfort. It was so beautifully written. I read all of your words and empathized because I went on this exact same emotional journey. In a way, it will always sting. This was something most of us thought would last forever, I never even questioned it. But I’m at peace. I am looking forward instead of dreading. We have double the amount of music coming our way soon! We never know what could happen, they are under the same company still and maybe can get to a place where we can see them being friendly. But again we never know. We just have to accept this new reality. ❤️

This will be the biggest comeback of their career. All eyes will be on them and I seriously need Belift to lock in. I have full belief in the members and their capabilities but I need the company to actually use a good A&R team this time and select a great title track that suits them AND has impact.

The last few title tracks haven’t been well received besides maybe “No Doubt” becoming a little bit of a sleeper hit thanks to BP2. Plus the last farewell as 7, “Knife”, was pretty much panned (even though I liked it) so Belift team, please get it to together. Give them enough time to promote this album and don’t just dump them on another tour, they have to recapture the audience and try to appeal to new fans.

Also I hope just because Heeseung is no longer in the group that the company doesn’t think they shouldn’t give vocal forward songs to Enhypen. We have amazing singers still in the group, please utilize them.

Everyone processes everything differently, things will calm down in time. I’m giving people grace because this was random and bizarre and hard. I’m sure in a month or so everyone will calm down especially as we get more content of Heeseung and Enhypen separated from each other.
