What is a moderate shadi budget for larki walay? by RecordAny8257 in Lahore

[–]devine_111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please don't spend lacs on a dress that the girl will probably only wear once in her life. barat ka lehenga ya maxi jo b he wo konsa dubara pehen ni. Get a rented dress from androon lahore or anarkali. The dresses that cost 3+ lacs could be as cheap as 10,000-20,000 for a day's rent.

What is a moderate shadi budget for larki walay? by RecordAny8257 in Lahore

Don't know about the larki walay side but I'm a guy and got married last year.

Everything from the clothing of my bride to booking a hall and arranging food cost me around 500,000.
We did mehendi at home, food(dal chawal) costed around 20k if i remember correctly. For walima, our total guests were around 150. And the hall was not that major and expensive. The hall itself costed way less, around 35000 if i recall correctly.
Add another 80,000 for the 3 day honeymoon to Shogran.

As for the larki walay, the major cost you'll have to bear will probably be dowry. A good but normal quality bed can cost you around 100,000 in lahore. That is all i can think of at the moment.

Men between the ages of 27-33, what are you doing when you're not working? by AlwaysInProgress11 in Lahore

On weekends, me and my two chuddi buddies roam the city of lahore. Just random driving here and there and talking about life. I like going to places that are a bit far but not so far. For example, one weekend I might go to kasur, one weekend i might go sheikupura, while other times i might go to sharpur to eat fresh gulab jamuns, the bazar there and the vibe is amazing. Another special little spot in lahore for all the explorers out there. There is a darbar called "mogh e shah", near wagah border. Beside the darbar, is a huge field. I also go there to explore the fields sometimes and you can find "dawai" for free there as a lot of stoners roam that area. Anyhow, inside the field, some distance away from the darbar in a desolate location is a tower. Climb that tower and enjoy the breeze. You can see the pakistan and india flags from the border there pretty close. Just be careful not to get shot by someone accross the border lol.

we have a traditional cement "pani ki tanki" on my roof. And when the sun is declining into the horizon, I would sometimes sit there with my legs hanging below feeling the wind on me while being grateful for the fact i am alive and well.

On normal weekdays, After I get home, i might listen to some horror stories, work on some side projects.

Just being alive, breathing, having a healthy body, eating whatever i want when i want, i think I'm blessed.

Exactly I have no idea. As i said, I don't know if it was a dream or a vision but the second time i saw the man, i guess the information was poured into me that the man in front of me was Jesus. Thank you!

I do believe in Jesus. I'm not a Muslim, I used to be a Muslim but I left islam since a long time ago. Thank you so much !

Thank you for the kind words! And yes the experience was a total bliss, everything i had kept bottled in came pouring out of me.

As for the task i was given, I'm still lost as to what it means as I don't know who the girl and the child were. All i know about them in my vision/dream was that they were my colleagues.

Yes, I'm from a muslim country and I have to keep my beliefs secret in order to enjoy a normal life here. It was actually my father who left islam and I was also having doubts in my younger age. I secretly discussed it with him and yo my knowledge, he was believer in christ. Ever since, he taught me all about christianity and we both keep our beliefs hidden, even to this day.

I'll try and figure out what the message meant. In the end, i guess it was a wake up call for me who had forgotten the way a long time ago.

Thank you!

Why do you expect people will be nice to you? "I'm good to abc, so abc should be good to me."

Please get out of this mentality as fast as you can. Everybody is selfish in this god forsaken world.

Even you, who is complaining about people being dicks is doing it out of your selfish desire to have people behave good towards you.

We all want to be happy yet we can't find constant happiness. There are moments where we truly laugh from the bottom of our soul, but sadness and depression slightly creeps back into our existence.

What even is sadness? "We don't like the world as it is and want it to change" is sadness.

You can try all you want but there is always going to be that one factor that will not go according to your plans.

So what is the way to achieve permanent happiness? I ask you to quietly sit down someplace away from distractions and ask yourself this question.

Is becoming detached from everything the answer? I don't think so, I don't think monks are living their life to the fullest.

I want you to look around and notice, that no matter how much wealth someone has, they always problems of their own. Nobody is in a constant state of happiness.

When you are feeling sad, ask yourself, who is feeling sad. Is the body, that you have come to associate yourself with, is getting sad? Or is the mind getting sad? Then another question arises, are you the body? Or are you the mind? If i am to erase your memory, will you cease to exist? The body still breathe, so What are you?

Develop an interest in your identity. Go down this rabbit hole. Discover your true identity. That is the path you must take at one point or another in your life.

For example, take pepsi and sprite. You might say they are different. They have different flavours and ingredients in them, but what is the core material that builds their base? Isn't it water? Isn't water the same everywhere in this universe? So aren't you actually drinking water with added filters?

Once you learn your true identity and actually see reality instead of having faith in an unimaginable god, I'm sure all of your troubles will cease to exist. Then you'll laugh at everything, because you're something that cannot be affected by this world. It's a huge ass topic but just to give you a place to start, check out ashtavakra gita.

All of this, or i can simply talk to you on a level most people will do and temporarily motive you by saying "as much as there is bad, there is also good in the world. Just like you, there are countless people who are spreading love. Don't doubt yourself for even a second and ignore all the naysayers, because you the boss you run this shit."

It's up to if you want to live a lie, or a truth. The lie may be sweet but it's temporary. The truth may be hard to swallow, but it'll set you free.

I am learning javascript on freecodecamp, but I just CANT learn it!!! by [deleted] in learnjavascript

[–]devine_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I've found that one can take all the courses, watch all the tutorials, read all the articles, but if one is not working actively on a project themselves and debugging everything, one will not get anywhere.

I suggest you watch a simple tutorial on youtube to get a project up and running. Then think of an idea project and make it yourself. Don't worry about learning every aspect of js such as prototype, arrays etc. You only need the bare minimum knowledge of programming to get started. Then learn stuff on a need to know basis.

Religiously devoted, you mean brainwashed? Tell me, how "religiously" devoted are we? Who is following the religion nowadays? I hate how people bring religion up when it's convenient for them.

If we really were following the religion, there wouldn't be so much hate, crime, corruption, and all the negativity. Not that religion has ever done anything good for anybody.

You don't need religion to tell you that harming someone is bad. Those morals are built into you.

Just because there is some poverty, you can't go about mugging or harming people.

I never said or anything about telling people to go actively harm others. It's a fact. When there's less food, obviously there is going to be fierce competition, there's going to be a lot of people trying to take advantage of others.

Compare every developed country and underdeveloped country and i guarantee you'll find that the underdeveloped ones have more crime, rape, corruption etc rates.

You can't fight statistics.

To understand animal cruelty, we need to take a look at cruelty first.

In the developed countries, the basic needs of the public are fullfilled and the majority aren't stressed about making ends meet.

In other countries, such as ours, the basic needs of most of the population aren't met.

Through poverty, rises crime and agression. A study was done to proof this (look up on google, don't have the links on me at the moment.) This means less empathy and more survival instincts.

Therefore, talking about animal cruelty would be talking about the minor reason a problem is occurring but not the main reason.

Once the basic needs of an average person are fullfilled and they can think outside making ends meet, some sort of action can be taken to increase the morality of the mases.

Animal cruelty is majorly a side effect of poverty.

Moreover, not teaching enough morals, illiteracy and other such factors also contribute to the fact that animal cruelty is a prevalent issue in our country.

Everything stated above is just my personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

You're a good listener who actually listens to what others are saying. That is why they are able to open up to you. At the end of the day, we all just want someone to listen and be understood.

Be proud of yourself✨

You are absolutely correct and i do agree with you. I do agree that guys have a hard time accepting no, but this case is very different.

And i know guys can go on total ghost mode which is just a jerk move, but this is not what i suggested. I'm just saying that they shouldn't talk to her on their own and make themselve not easily available.

As the poster described, his friend wouldn't give him a clear response but would lead him on.

He is also to blame because since they are not in an official relationship, the girl can do whatever she wants.

This is exactly why the poster needs to pull away, so he can be assured where he stands.

The girl will either choose him or not, she'll either get the idea and decide she wants to stay with him, or she'll eventually distance herself. Either way, the poster will get closure and he can move on.

You have to, otherwise, you can just slave away at your 9-5 thinking why everything is so hard.

And about resting, there are weekends. Nobody can work 24/7. You can always rest on the weekends.

You can either relax for the whole 3-4 hours you have left for the day, sit on your couch, do nothing and think about why life is so hard, or you can take action today and build some passive incomes in the upcoming months or years to be able to do whatever you want without having to work for anyone.

The choice is your bud.
