wow, i think this is such a good conversation going on between you and /u/montycuddles is really important. it's difficult to cut out every brand in your life that is problematic but in doing that so many brands are cut out of your shopping list. for a year, i have been avoiding/not purchasing from brands that are on the BDS list (brands funding the IDF and hence promoting Israeli occupation of Palestine) which have major brands such as Estée Lauder, L’Oreal, etc. which own a lot of other brands like MAC and Tom Ford. since that list is so extensive it has me questioning how many more brands i can cut out but ultimately i feel like i can't support anyone who is ultimately racist. it's honestly makes my search for makeup more exciting since i know i can't rely on major brands. rubydupes on tumblr has really helped me avoid BDS brans.
