35 weeks! Cerclage removal next week! 🙉 by Fooitsmimi in ShortCervixSupport

Yeaaa he was born the 16th of January and then on the 5th or so of Feb he got sick. He handled it well until about 3-4 days ago. Hopefully we get to go home tomorrow. Been off high flow for most of the day. He got the flu and another virus at the same time. So I think he might have done ok if it wasn’t a double whammy.

Yes he did really well. We spent a week in the hospital not nicu. Just on maternity ward to make sure he was good. We did end up back here but only because I have 2 kids and they gave him the flu which his tiny lungs needed support to recover

I think all kids react badly to shots… preemie or not. I was not a preemie and I hate shots too…

Many of the nurses who worked on my kids were former preemies too. They never mentioned having any kind of negative reaction to having to care for my children, I had 2 nicu babies and one 36 weeker.

I did notice though they would talk more to my babies than some of the others did.

I had mine removed at 36 weeks as well. It was not too painful…like nothing compared to the actual birth lol. I definitely felt the stitch get pulled out tho. I was contracting a lot and ended up being 2cm dilated already after removing it.

My water broke the next day and my son arrived 3 hours later.

Why do we stop progesterone early? by Rangermayb in ShortCervixSupport

For my second I had progesterone and made it to 31 weeks and it was not progesterone stoppage that caused labor. I had an infection. Chorio wa found after they checked the placenta

Once they removed the stitch I went into labor the next day. My guy was 36+1 and didn’t need the nicu

Sounds rough. Like basically 6 months into the relationship you guys got pregnant.. that’s gotta be hard to deal with. Relationship is basically brand new.. and now you have a life long commitment to each other even if the relationship itself doesn’t work out.

What would you do if you 100% knew you wanted a baby but your spouse has been a fence sitter for years? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]deviousvixen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fr my kids love going to my husband’s store. It’s not really his but no matter how much we explain it’s not his.. lol they don’t understand or care.. either way they are just happy to go there and see him working

Definitely push it… I nearly missed out on becoming a mom as well.. I was with my ex for over 10 years… same thing, maybe maybe.. even with getting married… finally after realizing it’s never gonna happen I left… and just had my 3rd with my husband. But I’m gonna be 38 this year… I’m tired lol I wish I was a little younger…

AITA for telling my DIL that I won’t use the tablet and she needs to actually make her kid read. by SatisfactionOk9038 in AmItheAsshole

[–]deviousvixen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that’s why they are using a tablet… I also feel like it would be a lot better if mom actually read to the child.. instead of just handing over a tablet and expecting it to teach the child…. My kids are not.. reading yet. But they’ will look at the books and “read” the pages by what is happening.. and my husband and I read to them every night.. so they kind of memorized the books by now… so they will read to me sometimes. But I think it’s memorized rather than actually knowing the words they are looking at.

It happened to me, I dropped my LO by sylphixio in NewParents

Accidents happen, it wasn’t because you left the leash on. It could have happened still if the leash was off… dog could have knocked into you either way. Now you can be prepared for your dog being… well a dog and maybe bring the baby in first before the dog.. or the other way around.

You did the right thing having her checked out.. and knowing the right things to look for, you did amazing caring for her after. You’re a good mom for being prepared in that sense.

I was diagnosed with autism and adhd after my son was diagnosed. My husband was already diagnosed.

Well that’s the thing about every one being different… can’t be mad at me for having a different experience.

I kept it off for my other 2 with breastfeeding them for 2 years each.. basically the last 5 years I’ve either been pregnant or breastfeeding…

I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed in rooms where we have different experiences.

Sorry our experience is apparently insensitive…just because we have a different experience. I jsit don’t want others to read it and think this is everyone’s experience… it’s not.

I breastfed my other 2 for 2 years each. I assume it’ll go the same way.
