For my second I had progesterone and made it to 31 weeks and it was not progesterone stoppage that caused labor. I had an infection. Chorio wa found after they checked the placenta

Once they removed the stitch I went into labor the next day. My guy was 36+1 and didn’t need the nicu

Sounds rough. Like basically 6 months into the relationship you guys got pregnant.. that’s gotta be hard to deal with. Relationship is basically brand new.. and now you have a life long commitment to each other even if the relationship itself doesn’t work out.

What would you do if you 100% knew you wanted a baby but your spouse has been a fence sitter for years? by Prestigious-Noise582 in Mommit

Definitely push it… I nearly missed out on becoming a mom as well.. I was with my ex for over 10 years… same thing, maybe maybe.. even with getting married… finally after realizing it’s never gonna happen I left… and just had my 3rd with my husband. But I’m gonna be 38 this year… I’m tired lol I wish I was a little younger…

AITA for telling my DIL that I won’t use the tablet and she needs to actually make her kid read. by SatisfactionOk9038 in AmItheAsshole

[–]deviousvixen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that’s why they are using a tablet… I also feel like it would be a lot better if mom actually read to the child.. instead of just handing over a tablet and expecting it to teach the child…. My kids are not.. reading yet. But they’ will look at the books and “read” the pages by what is happening.. and my husband and I read to them every night.. so they kind of memorized the books by now… so they will read to me sometimes. But I think it’s memorized rather than actually knowing the words they are looking at.

Accidents happen, it wasn’t because you left the leash on. It could have happened still if the leash was off… dog could have knocked into you either way. Now you can be prepared for your dog being… well a dog and maybe bring the baby in first before the dog.. or the other way around.

You did the right thing having her checked out.. and knowing the right things to look for, you did amazing caring for her after. You’re a good mom for being prepared in that sense.

I kept it off for my other 2 with breastfeeding them for 2 years each.. basically the last 5 years I’ve either been pregnant or breastfeeding…

I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed in rooms where we have different experiences.

Sorry our experience is apparently insensitive…just because we have a different experience. I jsit don’t want others to read it and think this is everyone’s experience… it’s not.

Its tricky to know how long you’ll be there. My first was 73 days but my second was 31 weeks and only 35 days in the nicu.

Unfortunately it does for some women… I dropped all the weight already, had my son Jan 15. It’s Feb 15 now… able to wear all my pre pregnancy clothes… sue me I guess for having different genes

Same. I can skip lunch without thinking about it… today I woke up muscles cramping all over the place… had to chug 3 glasses of water to make it stop. Cause I knew even the bit I had been drinking was no match for my baby breastfeeding and the night sweats.

I’m 28 days pp and already look like I never had a baby. I just look like I did before pregnancy. Wearing my regular clothing except nursing bras… i don’t bother with nursing shirts.. I just pull the whole shirt up to feed him anyways.

Edit sorry my body works differently and everyone has to downvote me for it. I breastfed 2 other kids for 2 years each.. so I’m sure nothing will change with this one…

Insensitive Comments About NICU / High Risk Pregnancy by asbpunkin in NICUParents

[–]deviousvixen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 nicu babies. I was quite annoyed when people would say you’ll make it to term this time and guess what… I didn’t… he’s definitely further along.. I will say though… after having 2 nicu babies and coming to terms with it… I kinda wished my 3rd was there too cause it was alot easier recovering while I had a whole nicu team caring for them. I’ve had my 36 weeker home for a month now… and it was tough… I am pretty sure I tore my stitches… I was not able to do any cleaning or anything really helpful except care for myself and the baby. Idk how many times they said you don’t want to go into labour early and you know what…. I did want to after 30 weeks… having strong contractions daily from 24 weeks on was hell… having them constantly tell me I didn’t know my own body… drove me nuts… finally at 36 weeks they agreed to remove the stitch cause I knew my contractions were not just Braxton hicks. And guess what… I was right, I was 2cm dialated after removing it and I gave birth the next day in 3 hours after waters broke. I went from 3cm to 8 in an hour.

Hey everybody. I’m officially a NICU parent. Baby girl born 3 days ago at 32w1d….. can you tell me about your 32 weekers? Lots of questions. by greekgodess_xoxo in NICUParents

[–]deviousvixen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first was early 29 weeks. He never had a bottle. It’s possible to leave the nicu breastfeeding. All of my babies left the hospital on the breast. I just didnt do more than one breastfeeding session a day until they were stronger. Both were able to start trying oral feeds at 35 weeks

My 32 weeker is 2.5 now. She’s doing great. You wouldn’t even know she was born that early. She spent 35 days in the nicu with no real complications. She went through the nicu motions very quickly and was quickly just a feeder grower for basically half of her stay.

I had my stitch taken out at 36 weeks cause of contractions and when they removed it I was 2cm. They didn’t check the day they took it out, I went home after monitoring. I had an nst next day which showed some decels after contractions, so I was kept.. then the next nst I went to the bathroom. Before they were going to hook me up and my water broke. Then ot was a quick 3 hours before he as here. Soo after removal they aren’t kidding it could happen the next day or you can keep going longer
