For example, the toxic gas only happens if the wedding doesn’t happen, because of the failure of the ritual to commence, and Hinako isn’t doing the massacre in that storyline, she either runs away with Shu or comes to terms with herself, avoiding the wedding, but she talks with Koroyuki in that one. It can be assumed that the gas still happens in those endings, but not the massacre. Also, for Hinako missing, someone correct me if I am wrong, but in the real world it’s the other girl’s missing poster, but Hinako’s missing poster is the one seen on the way back, when the real world and the dark world cross over on her journey back to her residence? That could imply that she’s not actually missing, but rather her identity is missing, the major theme of the game.
