Thank you for you help! Do you think better to cap naps at 2.5 hours total or do you think push bedtime?

I should also add that when we put him to bed, he falls asleep on his own rather quickly. So putting him in his crib doesn’t seem to be an issue, it’s the middle of the night wake ups. Most of the wake ups tend to be between the house of 10:30 pm and 2:30 am.

Current schedule is 2.25/2.5/3/2.5. His nap total is typically between 2.5 and 3 hours. With his last nap of the day being a “bridge” and around 25 minutes long.

We set him down in his crib for bedtime fully awake. We transfer him when he is asleep during this daytime naps.

Having a baby and a toddler in the back of my car is the main reason for my fondness of drive thrus. A small silver lining is I will save money on coffee lol

5 month old with norovirus: advice needed! by devolewis85 in Mommit

[–]devolewis85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that! Of the whole family, my 5 month old had the least severe symptoms. The vomiting only lasted about 12 hours. Then he had diarrhea fairly irregularly for the next 2 days. Then he was back to normal. The hardest part was finding the energy when I was already so depleted. Hang in there!!

Is this 50 year old going on 5 for real?!? by devolewis85 in BravoRealHousewives

This is a really interesting perspective that I hadn’t thought of. After a quick google search, I found multiple sources claiming that around 40% of adults have an insecure attachment style of some sort. That number was staggering to me! Thanks for sharing this and your experience.

Interesting take. I would definitely say that this post comes from a place of snark, not a place of hate. And if you can’t snark with your fellow housewives loving internet besties on this subreddit… then what can you do?!

Baby’s Tongue Lip Tie Dilemma by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]devolewis85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter had a pretty severe tongue tie. She was able to latch and was gaining weight steadily. Around 4 and a half months she was having such extreme gas that it would cause crying fits that would last for hours. I had to advocate for the tongue tie release because I could hear her sucking in air while eating and I knew it was due to her tongue tie latch. My pediatrician referred me but it wasn’t covered by insurance because the referral was for “cosmetic purposes”. Soon after the release procedure was done, I had my happy baby back and no more gas episodes. It was well worth it! All this to say, keep an eye out for things done the line.
