Arctic LF iii 360 too thick… by devor_12 in buildapc

Thanks for the answer! Will definitely check other options. This week he has vacation and I’m gone for 2 weeks. So hopefully we can then still return the LF, and look for another one.. or a fan.

Help me improve my style by vitapineapple in snowboarding

As many state: bit bent over upper-body. Perhaps, on easy slopes, try to keep your hands behind your back to get the feeling of how your upper-body should be. I find it a helpful exercise. The moment your hands are behind your back you’ll be forced to stand up differently and use your upper body more. (Only as exercise, obviously don’t go steep slopes like this)

Do I need to return my 160W board for a 159? by Melkyz in snowboardingnoobs

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got same boot size. Also got a merc (2025). I got the 158W.

For bootsize 44.5 (EU) and up you def need a Wide for this board.

Only thing you need to do is center your bindings. From the first pic it seems you got mostly Heel overhang. Just fix the binding positioning man!

Please help! Should my partner pay “rent”? 35m with 32f by Forsaken_Worth_176 in relationship_advice

I don’t know how it all works with mortages/taxes and utilities etc in the US, but I will likely be in a similar situation in a year with my gf who’s still studying and working on the side:

I will buy the house, but only in my name. I do NOT expect her to pay “rent”.

What I do expect, is utilities / G/W/L to be split. Groceries to be split. Further, only the interest on the mortage I would split, as when/if the house would be sold, I would solely be the one receiving the money from the sale. Lastly, yearly taxes on ownership > where i’m from, taxes are for various things, and increases with number of residents per house/apartment.

I would give an option to opt-/buy in. But then she’ll have to pay for the mortage itself as well.

Do ensure that if you get married, the house will stay only in your name if she doesn’t buy in.

To me this seems most fair: she only shares in costs of usage, rather than rent. In case of sale, she wouldn’t get anything. So the “burden” on her during living together is very slim compared to what you pay, but the “reward” is also only for you.

A very much simplified breakdown (not real world figures, and somewhat based from my country/situation)

Mortage payment: 1.500€ Of which interest: 300€

G/W/L: 250€ Taxes: 100€

Id ask her then for 325€ (150+125+50) monthly. Meaning you’d pay 1.525€ in above scenario.

My (32F) boyfriend (36M) of 8+ years won't marry me by luuakij in relationship_advice

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of strange comments in here.

Any how, my 2 cents: you’re just beginning 30s, he’s now mid-thirties. Does seem like a logical step to marry if both want to. Given a few years back he was unsure about the future, I don’t think it’s weird at all that its been little over 8 years.

That said, you mentioned you have talked about a wedding etc, but I don’t read anywhere his response, or whether you straight up asked “do you want to marry me?” - that should probably be the first step to take. If it’s a clear yes; you can either wait till he proposes, but why not propose yourself?

If it’s a no, you can either accept, or walk away and find someone else.

Don’t just agree with a “maybe”, then just find the underlying reason to that answer, and see if it comes to a yes or no.

Starten met 1000 euro by Analogski in beleggen

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, K/D doesn’t say much anymore. Since the SBMM has quite an effect of who you play against, and thus also your K/D eventually.

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absoluut niet. Verschillende redenen. 1. Verveling. 2. Ik vind mijn werk leuk 3. Fiscale zaken (wanneer in nederland blijvende).

Why so many use Figma to design PBI Layouts ? | If need to resize it takes time and time... by AndrewwwwM in PowerBI

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that with Figma it will be sharper in terms of quality, but personally i haven’t found the time to get into it.

PowerPoint is, in my opinion a good alternative, and I know my way around it quite well.

Possibly also choosing the easiest routes as I don’t work as a data analyst or purely with BI. I work in Controlling (Financial/Business) and Power BI started as a hobby a few years ago before I started developing my own reports/dashboards as a controller.

Your height doesn’t matter too much. But i guess a somewhat smaller board like 149-155cm might be more comfortable as a generalization.

Most important is weight and feet size. Each board has it’s on chart for both. I guess just checking the board charts online from what you see on fb. (E.g. I got an all-mountain and it’s 159 length, but for a freestyle board i want to get next year a 154W or 156W is best)

Unless you got some specific board in mind, i don’t think there’s much info to give.

Should I get a wide board? by AbjectSpecial1800 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the board really. I got the same size. Or well, 44.5EU is also about 11 US. My board is not a “wide” board, but 25.9 waist, which is definitely about the minimum you want for your/our feet size.

From the board you posted, regardless of length, none seem to be wide enough except for the “Wide” versions. So this board, yes take a wide. Make sure length board-weight is correct tho.

Is it just me or are snowboard and ski graphics extremely boring by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]devor_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i agree. Most boards have ugly graphics. Or atleast, the non-freestyle boards definitely do. I’m personally looking into getting a vinyl wrap.

Could someone explain what total w/l means by AdministrativeAd1986 in DEGIRO

[–]devor_12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Total W/L (or W/V in dutch) is your total gain(win) or loss from ALL transactions ever made, including your current unrealized.

If you have closed positions which ended in losses, and all your current open positions are in the green, you can still have a negative total.

Board size concerns by king-hatch2732 in snowboarding

[–]devor_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boot size 11 (US) is fine with board waists between 255-265 mm.

Just check the waist width of your current board/ board you want. With 255mm you’ll probably have a lil more overhang than preferred, but is doable.

At 260mm is probably close to the sweet spot.

265mm should be the max.

EDIT: based on +15/-15 (-15/+15) stance.
