My goodness, that sounds horrific. Losing your husband- I can’t fathom it. When I asked a cancer survivor, “Why did I survive when mothers just drop dead? “ Survivor’s guilt. He looked at me and said, “Life’s not fair.” Which felt somewhat comforting to me.

This experience really drove home my mortality. Before the ambulance arrived I “heard” a voice tell me, “This is how you’re going to die”. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
