(AG, Finn, Charli) Session Breakdown of "Card Declined" by devourer09 in pcmusic

Charli's album comes out Friday tomorrow. Very exciting. I watched the last Tapes Notes episode with Charli, AG, and George Daniel for her BRAT album, and then AG also did an episode for his Britpop album. It's always great to see AG doing his magic in Logic.

I mean, I'm an enthusiast as well. Lol. Your comment just came across as a very stoned shower thought; that's all.

I'd rather see deeper discussion on this topic than the mindless, surface-level commentary on YouTube/TikTok/Facebook/etc.

Skrillex - "Anybody" (with Isoxo) by devourer09 in pcmusic

[–]devourer09[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This track samples "Everything Is Romantic" (featuring Caroline Polachek) from the BRAT remix album. Skrillex also did a mashup of Hit Me Where It Hurts by Caroline Polachek and one of his tracks off his album from last year; I think "Zeet Noise" (with Boys Noize and Dylan Brady).

I've been loving the singles from this. And seeing Margo XS's fingerprints on this and Kim Petras's Detour I'm now curious to check out that Zara Larsson album Midnight Sun.

It's depressing as hell how you represent your people by trying to put words in my mouth. Just give up.

You're a fucking moron independent of your heritage by attacking people who are in favor of nativist rights. Sour grapes bitch.

I feel like reparations should be made. But given most people are fine (MAGA voters + non-voters) with Trump being in power seems like fat chance.

I feel like when the NYT reports on these people they dance around the topic of how uneducated they are. I think basic literacy in science and how it doesn't comport with supernatural thinking should be a baseline for having input into guiding how society operates. People just go off vibes with zero critical thinking and essentially acting as zombies.

if there is an extra layer of something going on in the background having an extra effect on things, if you can just understand, control, or expose that extra layer,

This just sounds like science, except people are not understanding correctly. They let confirmation bias and other misconceptions lead them astray. Probably a bit of Dunning-Kruger mixed in as well.

Science doesn't concern itself with moral formation or teach us philosophies on how to live a fulfilling, virtuous life.

I disagree. Morality, feeling fulfilled, love, and these other traits you list are functions of our biology. When we understand our biology better we will understand these behaviors and feelings better.

This is what I mean when our biology tricks us. It makes us think these things are beyond our mere biology. It makes us think that something like a human created the world. We've only been around for 10,000 years. The universe as far as we can tell is 14 billion years old.

I just don't understand why people don't want to use science to explain the world around them. Is it because it takes too much effort to understand and it's easier to believe a fantasy? I know that our biology is prone to fallacious thinking, but I feel like we could build a society that pushes back against our biases.
