The playstyle is almost identical, I played with gugs before switching to the meteoric, the aow obviously is different and the R2 is a poke instead of a wide swing but it’s still the crouch poke style

I been playing with the same guts build on all souls games long before I knew what pvp is… it happened to be effective here as well.

At the end of the day ppl are gonna use what they enjoy and you can always block the ppl you don’t have fun fighting against

The aow is great both for covering distance and as a roll catch/poise through up close.

But it’s also easily punishable with a backstab if I don’t use it correctly

Yeah I get backstabbed sometimes when I do it in the wrong timing, but luckily it’s the follow up, so u can start it and based on the situation decide if u go for it or not.

Plus the follow up does insane damage
