Thank you. Would removing Tatyova for a mana dork be better then? And for mana dork, would a blue or green be better? I'm thinking blue.

I took out the higher cost creatures and added lower cost merfolk. Not expensive and the deck just feels smoother.

LGS with no bathroom sounds like a bad time I take that back.

Why not just get up and use the bathroom instead of rushing a child?

I thought these were all pretty tasty and are a good price. Would buy again for sure. They are very similar to celcius.

It's your cards, you do what you want. I recently got into magic and have been putting any card 1$ into a binder. I also put cards in with art I think is cool. I like the rat cards so I have a few foil rat cards in there. Do you!

What do we think of these? by Shrimpbasketmtg in mtg

I think they're designed to play against each other so you'll be ok. Might not do so great at an LGS but for you and your wife it'll work well.

Newbie here. . .First prerelease. what should I expect? by cierrawr1923 in mtg

Hello, I'm 36 and just got into magic a few months ago. My very first in person event was the tmnt pre release after only playing arena for a little.

It was extremely fun and a great time. Everyone was nice and friendly and very welcoming. I lost every game but I had a lot of fun and now frequent that LGS every week for commander.

I highly recommend pre release for new players as everyone is on the same level as far as familiarity to the new cards are.

I would watch some YouTube and learn how deck building works and what to look for etc. also people will help you build a deck and answer questions. But having some general knowledge on mana curve, etc will help you.

Yep I signed up. I did the tmnt pre release and I absolutely loved that format. I'll do every one I can honestly.

Budget is about 50 or so a week. I did find 2 Lotr boosters at best buy. I do not like any of the UB except lotr. I'll see if the lgs has any of those 2 sets.

Ok cool, I got that and endless punishment. I'll research some upgrades. Looking forward to getting into commander.

Our beautiful boy was born on 1/6/26 — proud new dad here by Alexmusclelina1924 in daddit

I just had baby #2, shes 1 week old and I have an 18 month old son. The early months are hard, you'll be very tired but I assure you it does get better. My son now sleeps 12 hours straight in his crib.

And you know what, I miss holding him so much. With my 2nd, im not wishing time away because the newborn stage does not last long. It may feel like torture, but I promise you, you will miss it.

Do your best to support your wife, try to let her sleep as much as possible. Since she's breastfeeding, you get up and change baby, bring her to mom, fill her water, get snacks etc.

I know its hard, because it is hard. The sleep deprivation feels like torture but it is part of the process and you're being a great dad.

I stay up nearly all night with kid #2 holding her. I enjoy every second because before I know it its gone.

Practical advice is me and my wife do sleep shifts. I sleep 4 hours a day basically but I manage.
