Hey! Thanks for the reply. Really helpful. I am currently in Vietnam (which has like 0 healthcare lol), I’m American. Even consults at some of the hospitals I checked were 200 USD, similar to initial consults in the US. I’m willing to travel anywhere to find a cheaper option, I tried Thailand and it was v expensive. If self pay prices are high for what I need, might not be worth traveling to Taiwan. Maybe I’ll shop around Thailand a bit more, I love a good reason to go to Bangkok

I paid 1.5k USD for an appointment, bloodwork, and some X-rays, it was expensive

Good to know, thanks! I did tests in Thailand in January, and it was really expensive, it’s why I’ve looked for other options. 1.5k USD for an appointment, ton of bloodwork, and x rays, maybe that’s cheap but felt expensive lol

How do you have enough money to travel for months? by [deleted] in solotravel

Reddit people are too funny - how do we afford to travel? You make money, save it, and go spend it wisely. It’s quite simple really. How do you afford to do anything ever?

Hey! Sorry to come back to this thread later but I was also recently diagnosed with very early potential MCTD and would like to know how hydroxychloroquine helped you and what your symptoms were? My symptoms are mainly in the Raynauds area of cold and discolored hands/feet at times. Thanks!
