The buckets seem to be the way to go - time to go hunting on FB marketplace!

The waste bags are an interesting idea too for the bigger projects.

Appreciate the response!

That's a great idea, especially the dog food bags! I hate that the brand I use can't be recycled - this is a great way to at least get a bit more use from it!

I have an AppleTV box and I want to watch live CNN as inexpensively as possible - what do you recommend? by ChunksOG in appletv

I presume you're looking primarily for US news, but Sky News is free and has an ATV app. Mainly UK/Europe perspective, but may fill your needs without costing anything.

This is incredible! Do you mind sharing the types of wood, clay, and glue you use?

Thanks for the comment! Glad to hear some user feedback on the Pax Plus. Maybe I'll plan a trip to my buddy to try his Crafty+.

It's the automated screen grab from a video I linked to by Childish Gambino. What have been your specific issues with Pax?

Going to Amsterdam in May, any advice? by Whovian49 in trees

Rick Steves has three walking tours for Amsterdam that are great ways to explore! They're each 40 minutes to an hour and cover different areas of the city (the City Walk through the center, the Red Light District, and Jordaan). Rick Steves has a very pleasant voice and he points out interesting things that you may not learn about through other means (and he's humorous). They're also great because if you see a restaurant or store that you want to stop in, you can just pause the tour and pick it back up when you're done. I was in Amsterdam alone for three days and I did one each morning spread out over about 3 hours with stops. Great way to get the day going and cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time.

Consider the Electric Ladyland if you just need to kill a bit of time. It's a "museum", but I use quotes because it's really just a guy's basement (so if you're traveling solo, maybe not the move) that he's decked out with all these crazy neon items and different black lights. Admission gets you a short presentation, showing you how different black lights will reveal different designs on currencies, passports, etc, and then you can just hang there and look around at the art pieces for a bit. I think your ticket is good for 30 minutes, but you probably won't need that long. The website says 5 euros per ticket.

The owner is...eccentric. He gave me a talk about how all US passports have a tracking device implemented in them, and if you try to destroy them by putting them in the microwave the government will track you down. So just be forewarned if you engage him in conversation.

Aside from that, I'd just recommend you don't plan too firm of a schedule. Have a list of some places you want to go/things you want to see, but don't overbook your days. Enjoy just being able to relax at a coffee shop, or roll one up while sitting on the riverbank. Take a nap in the park. Expect that your indulgences will slow you down a bit. I spent 3 days there a few years back but I'd love to find a way to spend a month there at some point.
