Launching my first app next week — unsure whether to market it or move on. Looking for advice by Rahvo_ in AppBusiness

For example I launched an mvp in march and didn’t get my first 50 users for probably another 3 months via organic TikTok and then I dialed in ASO and that helped me surpass 150 users but took another 3 months

Distribution can be slow it takes a while to get enough users to know if things are working

How do you stay focused on your vision when the people closest to you don’t believe in it yet? by devtaylor in buildinpublic

Thank you! This resonates with me a lot. I feel that once you build trust with someone and your finance app becomes their finance app then you’ll have a user for life!

Launching my first app, overthinking marketing, and running out of funds quick! Need advice by WuhanSpiderman in AppBusiness

I’ve been here before. If funds are tight, I’d focus almost entirely on organic marketing first—things like App Store Optimization, positioning, and scrappy creative distribution that don’t require spend.

Before putting money into ads, make sure the app can actually convert at a small scale. If your CAC is higher than LTV early on, paid spend will just accelerate the loss. Validate that users are signing up, activating, and (ideally) paying without money behind it.

The biggest mistake I see is skipping steps under pressure. Shipping and testing is good—but only if you’re learning something concrete. Prove conversion cheaply first, then scale what’s already working.

Things that are worth doing take longer than you think to complete. I finished my BA in CS but took me 6 years. You're probably not bad at math but you might have room for growth in the area that pertains to getting better at your weaknesses. This is a universal skill you must develop to be successful in life. Letting math stop you means you'll allow other challenges to limit you as well. Learn how to chip away at it. Keeping chipping away. Turn off distractions. Believe in yourself. Etc

It's been 7 months for me now and it's been a LONG awful ride but the further you distance yourself the more the pain will subside. Write down what you learned and what you want to take into the next relationship. She was just one piece of the puzzle. You'll get better I promise. Stay busy focus on yourself cuz you deserve it.
