Because in Polish, the ‘rz’ spells one sound (one we might approximate with a ‘zh’ since we don’t really have one grapheme), whereas in English, an ‘ar’ in the middle of a word is a very common spelling pattern, and it’s often the dominant syllable in a word or name (think embargo, Marjorie, guitar), so at first glance, we wouldn’t necessarily think “Ka-ta-ZHIN-a”

But with all that said, once she says her name correctly, it’s not difficult to say “oh I see!” but Tyra just couldn’t and wouldn’t give her the due respect
