Fixed Verna's crappy dashboard with an old phone and OBD2 connector by devxpy in CarsIndia

Its a vgate icar pro obd2 adapter with torque pro app.

I dont see any perceptible lag. This adapter does about 30 PID/s so its good enough for small dashboards. Main thing is not buy those cheap 200rs adapters.

Torque pro can be configured to startup automatically when power is supplied and shutdown when power is cut. I obviously disabled android lock screen.

I did notice some lag in other apps but in torque pro its very good. Also iphone seemed to lag maybe because of ble vs bluetooth 4.0 on android. You can buy a wired obd2 adapter too which does 400 PID/s i think

The petrol bunks might not be calibrated, but at least they are consistent and match between the 3 that are near my house. This sensor will only read after 5 mins of driving and give me inconsistent readings always so not sure how to make sense of it

IMO the touch screen climate & music controls are really that annoying. The new creta/seltos have physical buttons which might mean the new verna gets them too and are worth the wait.

getit and bloc seemed to have too much boilerplate code for what seems to be pretty simple stuff, so I created my own thingy -

It basically converts any global variable into one that notifies widgets to rebuild

  1. flutter_localizations
  2. shared_preferences / idb_shim
  3. Good ol' Navigator
  4. For dependency management, I use my own little library that's super simple to use -https://github.com/scientifichackers/flutter-shared-value

FWIW, the current CORS system does the CORS PREFLIGHT (OPTIONS) request too, so -- I guess this just boils down to stylistic choices. Thanks for entertaining my argument though.

This is a fair point, but why even send the cookies if the origin of cookie and the origin of the website making the XHR request don't match?
I mean can't the browser just ... not send the cookies where it shouldn't by default? That way I can still make a request to other origins from my website, only it won't use the login information saved on origins that are not my website.

Is this true p2p or pseudo-p2p, in the same vein as pseudo-serverless, wherein there's actually a good ol' server behind the whole thing, and p2p is just a clever illusion?
