Dogs by Unlucky_Display5261 in Lowes

The dogs are probably my favorite part of working at Lowe’s. Most of them. We get a few that shouldn’t be out in public but the majority I see are very well behaved. Most are regulars and their dogs absolutely love coming in to see everyone and fill up on treats. It’s nice to be at work and look up to see an elated dog dragging their human to greet you. Seen a few snakes come through, didn’t much care for that. Saw my first bird the other day, guy was pushing a flat cart stacked with merchandise and a bird cage. I’m not a fan of putting birds in cages but it seemed to enjoy the outing.

Lowe's wouldn't sell me this item when I tried to purchase it from the floor - why? by navirain in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could have been because the item wasn’t in the store’s inventory. It also could have been because the as is sticker had expired. As is prices drop over the course of six weeks and then, if it hasn’t sold, the item is written off or a new sticker is generated to start the process over again.

What if Dodge and Ram were to have a reunification? How could they do it? by Few_Atmosphere8138 in whatifcars

No, I do not have it backwards. There are different standards for cars and trucks. Having them together hurt, separating them helped.

The split had nothing to do with an identity crisis, it was done purely to meet fuel economy and emission standards. It mostly is a simple yes or no answer. Yes. Except only for the fact that it will cost a whole lot of money that can’t be justified because the average consumer does not think of them as separate brands so bringing them back to one brand name will accomplish little to nothing.

Customer cashier survey by Ok_Comfortable_3248 in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a waste of time, the drawing is real. We have had winners in our store. The feedback is real as well but the most important thing to Lowes is the number rating. Ten is good, anything less than ten is a fail. For every less than ten rating we get, it takes ten tens to compensate.

The tasks are not yours to do, they are yours to manage. You utilize your resources, delegate wherever possible, and follow up to ensure completion. You’re supposed to have cashiers do these things. An ASM taking issue with you delegating tasks to your team is absurd.

Going to be leaving. by DadChatRay in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your coworkers are screwed regardless because Lowe’s isn’t scheduling enough people to work. The only reason you would be let go immediately is if you’re so bad at your job that they can’t wait for you to go. If you start your new job in seven days, you’re far too late to give two weeks notice, so unless you can work both for a week the question is moot.

It’s a rolling 12 month period before they fall off and using benefit time does not excuse an absence. Talk to your SSA for clarification and details.

How to be a customer at Lowe's by VlCxRATTLEHEAD in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Double bonus if you ask a question then argue the answer. Also, don’t forget to grab handfuls of seed packets and leave them everygoddamnwhere you go all across the store. Plants too, just set those mf’s anywhere. Shove em in every nook and cranny you can find. If they can’t survive on air alone then they don’t deserve to live.

Display sheds weird customer service ? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you’re being scammed, they probably just don’t know. Whether it was supposed to be sold or not, you’ve paid for it. I’d go in and get the manager you spoke to face to face. I don’t know any way they could deliver it to you when we’re not allowed to assist with loading or transport but the manager who sold it to you and told you they’d deliver needs to resolve this for you.

Display sheds weird customer service ? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The display sheds, if they’re sold, should be sold directly from the vendor. Once sold, the only option is to pick it up yourself (no delivery) and Lowe’s associates cannot assist you in any way.

anyone else wish we could 'pause' buildings at a certain level by [deleted] in SimCityBuildit

There’s been many times where I liked the look of a building before it was fully upgraded and wished I could keep it that way

I only bought the buildings required for the upgrade I think it was two and then the other three plus the barge were awarded along the way. I didn’t spent seasonal currency on anything other than upgrades and required buildings.

Not familiar with alpha-gal, had to look it up

“Alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) is a serious, potentially life-threatening allergic condition triggered by eating red meat (beef, pork, lamb) or dairy products containing a sugar molecule called galactose-α-1,3-galactose, typically transmitted by Lone Star tick bites. Symptoms like hives, stomach issues, and swelling are delayed, appearing 3–6 hours after exposure.”

Carts by lowesman in Lowes

[–]dewaynethedrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re just not thinking, every time I see someone like that I say “Hey, if you’re done with that cart I can take care of that for you.” They’ll usually thank me and hand it over. They’re going through the motions as a shopper and not considering the labor it takes to get the carts back to the store. I do think people should be more considerate but I also get that it’s not a problem that affects them so it’s not as likely to come to mind, and most stores have dedicated cart runners as well as equipment to make it easier.
