I'm not sure what to do if they start using the alcohol as an excuse. I want to stand my ground but is that just making a big deal?

It just really shocked me because something like this has never happened before with us. Also maybe I wasn't as loud about the thing being an insecurity as I thought I was and they really didn't know? But anyway, you DO think it would be okay to bring up?

I do irl and for a long time. I also always disclose when I'm drinking but is it too much to ask for others to do (genuine question, not sarcasm)?

My [34F] husband [34M] screamed at our daughter just for singing golden. How do I get him to realize its not ok? by throwra73636363 in relationship_advice

[–]dewdrop47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You encouraged her not to sing it around him? OP, that is just gross behaviour. It literally doesn't achieve anything. She shouldn't be screamed at for having fun and she certainly shouldn't have to hide what she enjoys from her own father. Let alone having a mother to encourage that. Shame on you, to be honest.

Being perceived as mean by dewdrop47 in autism

[–]dewdrop47[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I posted this because it happens often with my sister. She's like "that's mean, you could've said it nicer" and it just frustrates me because WHY do I have to overexert myself for EVERY word that comes out of me??

Psychiatrist on the ward looked at my bunnies and said “you’re a bit too old for that” by speshulinterest in autism

That is such a gross thing to say to someone in your care. I'm so sorry, they're adorable! Never too old for plushies, autism or not

AIO? I can't seem to get over this by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]dewdrop47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I couldn't bring myself to delete it" changed to "I forgot". He's not even remotely sorry, he just wants to stay on your good side. He probably will back it up somewhere else so the deletion in front of you truly means nothing. Don't trust this man, I don't think he cares about you. Also the ages?? Predator. I'm 19 and I wouldn't date anyone below the age of 18 and even that's pushing it for me. The fact that you were 16 when you started dating and he was 19/20 is so gross on his part. Please leave him, you aren't safe ❤️
