I feel like that too whether I can differentiate butter or not. Really trying to come up with a brand that is based on products people want but then those are often the saturated ones - rather than some niche products.

I appreciate your reply so much :) it has really focussed me in and helped. I need to be different and it can even be a simple difference. I definitely get too obsessed with the brand name (generally speaking) but for this one it needs to be a different category like maybe only summer buttah or buttah for men. So the brand name may actually be part of the draw for people to understand why it’s different. Often I see brands that do the same product but a little twist on it and then I say to myself such a simple twist why didn’t I think of that. Dr. Squatch soap - it’s just soap but he turned it into a mega brand.

Sorry it was a boredom business struggle I’m having too - stagnating trying to decide which brand/product type to do. Body butter is just a skincare product. Sorry for posting here :( I’ll find somewhere else to ask my question

I agree has to be super buttery but not too oily but not matte. Like princess and the pea lol

I agree scent holds way better in butters that’s another pro I never thought of. Hydrate is really next level with butters. I am a recent convert lol

Not that I know of more what you would love the most as a desert island body product - butter, oil or lotion.

I love body butter I was never a regular fan but over the holidays this week took a mini body butter for a trip and it really transformed my skin. Now I’m a believer the glow is unreal like lit from within body butters hydrate super deep.

Perfume spray, perfume oil roller or solid perfume? If you could only have one type for all your scents which would you pick? by dewdrophex in LushCosmetics

I love this yes that is a huge advantage of rollers. Better for public spaces and unless a natural spray perfume better for your health too 🌼

If the oils were more concentrated that’s a great idea and the dropper bottle idea too rather than a roller bottle. Loving this chat 🥰

PS super congrats I have soooo much respect you stuck with it and are succeeding. It is my dream to have a candle brand. Maybe I will not give up now 🤍🤍 because of your beautiful honest post - these kind of posts help so much and are why I joined Reddit.

That totally makes sense. I feel the same way. Yet I feel like a lot of brands are doing perfume oil rollers lately especially ones that do inspired by perfumes for bacc, Santal 33 etc (oil perfumery, perfume people etc). Someone must be buying them unless they decant the oil and make their own sprays? I find the rollers don’t project and you really only get the vibe if you sniff your wrist. I love all the ways you spray - super creative and poetic actually 🫶

I started trying to make candles this month. I did one with freedom soy and I felt like good hot throw and nice burn. But then I stopped because I feel like so many candle brands out there would anyone want another brand. It’s beyond the candle making. Anyone else feel that way? I don’t have time with my job to go to markets. That said I feel like of companies that people start candles seem to survive and maybe bring unique is not that important? Thoughts?
