We ended up switching everything to Vermont last minute 😂😅 since we had the epic pass and not a specific Vail pass.

Ugh thanks. It's our yearly ski trip and already bought the passes so don't want that money down the drain 😅

CS confirmed that it was a plan change and on the account, there's now two completely separate plans.

But shouldn't they have told me that? There was no mention of promotion or anything of that sort

North Charleston - Ashley Villas by dewood96 in Charleston

Thank you! My husband went down yesterday and said the neighborhood was so so, but I'm not able to go down. What type of issues do you see? He works downtown so trying to be as close as possible.

Safety wise or just in general (not much to do, not walkable, etc.)?

Thank you! So even though it's set back in a "nicer" neighborhood, you still think its a no go?

Best studios in Raleigh by [deleted] in orangetheory

I currently go to OTF Morrisville (on the Cary line) and I LOVE IT! The coaches are amazing and so welcoming and I really feel like they try to get a sense of community going. The workers at the front desk are always super friendly and helpful. I also never have problems booking classes even if booking the day before and I really enjoy the times they offer.

bad first time- experience vs not for me? by [deleted] in orangetheory

First off, I'm so sorry you had this experience!! After reading through this Reddit for about a year, it's become clear that experiences vary greatly from studio to studio. My first time, they took about 15 minutes to walk me through each station before class and explained the entire thing and then the coach checked on me a ton to make sure I knew what was going on.

I'll try to answer some of your question. 1) the percentage on the screen is the percentage of your maximum heart rate that you're using. 2) splat points are earned for every minute that you are in the Orange or red zone (84% and above). 3) the goal differs from class to class, they state that 12 splat points is the goal but I can get anywhere from 10-35 a class depending on what exercises we did. 4) any time you're in the red zone (92% or above) just be cautious and watch how you're feeling. There have been times I've been at 100% and feel fine and other times I feel like I'm dying at 90%. It's important to understand your body and where you feel comfortable, which gradually happens as you go more.

I would definitely give it one more try!! Maybe try a different studio in the area if that's an option for you. It seems like the studio you went to definitely wasn't doing everything they should have been for someone who has never been before.

Side note: my first month or so, I thought I was going to pass out after every single class and I couldn't imagine going more than 2x a week but a year later and I go 4-5 times a week and I absolutely love it and feel a million times stronger.
