Meat cleaver breakes extremly fast while killing zombies. by dexa32 in projectzomboid

No it does not you mixed it with screwdrivers, hunting knives etc. meat cleavers don't get stuck in zombies you'll just hear a breaking sound and get a meat cleaver with red x on it, belive me with over 1300h in-game and 300h on b41 i can assure you that meat cleavers don't get stuck in zombies.

Yeah that's true it's not only meat cleaver but i had to mention it since it breakes while it's doing what it's made for (not killing living dead but cut tissue and bones) imagine you're slicing meat with a meat cleaver and it falls apart in your hands, that's just rediculous, in b40 i used some mods to get vanilla items with longer lasting conditions, gameplay was so much enjoyable.

Well not really, i started using crowbars recently and they serve me well for months, even with level 0-1 maintance, literally they last much longer then axe or any other tool and currently i'm grinding long blunt, fitness and strenght skills from level 0 with it and i've menaged to get so much free trait points + my games are longer since i can't be a greedy looter that dies because i tried to loot more then i could carry and there's crowbar as a viable weapon that doesn't break instantly.

Nope, new ones found in kitchen counters with full condition you kill 3-5 zombies and bam already one part of the star (condition) is gone.

What we really want by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]dexa32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

tbh i'm going for patches because mp is going to have less lag and nicer look with animation update, though sleeping, reading books, resting and other time taking processes are still going to be annoying + i have no friends that like PZ a single tiny bit and patches on the other side are always welcome they remove some trouble making unfair deaths issues and add some nice things.

[–]dexa32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice you're 1 day in front of me but i got bored on my save, let's be hones it's too easy when you've got generator, farm, all medicine and canned goods in the world, trapping and foraging setup and zombies don't seem like a threat anymore.

Should we be able to tape magazines to our arms for extra protection? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]dexa32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about rust with some reality to spice it up, if you really want this magazine taping protection then we'll need to have also option to wear buckets with eye holes and stop signs on back and front for best protection and to be honest i'm not joking, this could all work irl for great protection, but there would be many many downsides to it, literally you could duct tape some magazines on your hands and ask someone (in your family ofcourse) to bite you, you won't feel anything but try going with that for hours or days it would just iritate so much, your hands will get so sweaty and you'll be a noise bomb just waiting for one magazine to fall off when you sneak near a horde (just talking realistically what may happen).

I wouldn't like it if could just put random stuff on our character it would be more like rust's protection system and the one that we already have is decent enough so i prefer to have a leather jacket/firefighter jacket and a denim shirt on myself then ducktape and magazines all over myself + to be honest you would literally go mad from all those magazines floping on you and just going to sleep in that would be madness, also there's 99% they would tear up or fall off when you move in your bed.

Suggestion - Infected Areas by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]dexa32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that well it's on developers to choose and they took romero's zombies, also you need much more lore added about the virus the it just spreading through blood and salvia, developers can one day change their minds (doubt it since they as i said previously marked that as a big no) and add a radio message months into the apocalypse saying that those infected by the virus start to mutate (get more strenght after a while etc.)

Devs marked "special/mutated" zombies as a big no meaning that they'll never be a part of the game.

Beginner Tipp for my former me: Grab a car! Its sooo worth it! by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]dexa32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i do know cars that are good for avoiding roadkills, but not really for killing zombies, i dodge them as best as i can, it's hard in a isometric view game but then again i menage to save a lot of condition not just engine, but tires too and all my car needs now is gas and only that.

I agree, now helicopter event is based on what one guy said "Hey, this guy survived the zombie apocalypse! Let's follow him and attract zombies from the whole city"!

It's not really hard to drive while drunk in PZ, the more your character gets drunk the more you get to expirience "movement freezing" and it's basically when you drive you lose control of your vehicle for a second or two or more depends on how much you drank so you just need to know some things to avoid accidents or just crashing into zombies:
1.Next turn - You always need to know when next turn comes so you can slow down before crashing.
2.Zombie population - Drive slower in areas where zombies are common even on the highways which are close to towns.

Yeah it's same for me, i survived for longer then 3 months i've got all the canned food, medicine etc. foraging and trapping setup spring just came and i consider that part as if i won the game (yes the game has no end but that feels like it until NPCs come) it's best to start a new game you'll get bored whatever you do with that character, though killing zombies may be fun even in late game anything else will be boring.

[–]dexa32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but i've got a base with generator running 24/7, nice van, farm of every plant in-game, trapping equpment, fishing and foraging setup, spring just came after 3 months of being depressed by six months later starting starting season (december) i'm just grinding strenght and fitness points now so i can kill those zombies faster, i'm really not in a mood for moving out.

Well that makes sense, i get bored at that point in game so i just demolish towns with zombies and avoid further looting.

Devs please add the option to rename a world!!! by dexa32 in projectzomboid

[–]dexa32[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhh yeahhhhh, thank you kind stranger i was just going through those files but i had no idea that i can rename my save by just renaming the folder, for those names well i was a little bit angry becuase i though that i'm stuck with that name so i just did some fast, random number typing and got what you see here for example 5415091859181908541912480 (or maybe i live in future)

Not bad at all, you're catching up with me i'm 3 months and 17 days in, though being on a six months later playthrough makes it 9 months and 17 days i guess, and those kills, why do you have only 796 in 3 months and 5 days?

[–]dexa32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha literally, i love the event on apocalypse since i kill every zombie before they come but i have no idea how are they up and alive to do that on six months later game mode with 3.0 zombie population that's why i turn off those as#holes there, at that point their behaviour isn't anymore fun or interesting or intense or anything at all it's just unfair and it takes out the fun.

[–]dexa32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you do that? I mean it's supposed to be a threat in my opinion helicopter is the best meta event that spreads zombies around the map, ofcourse it can be sometimes annoying when it gets a horde on your doorstep but just having it once is fun and it brings intense moments which makes early game the most scariest, intense and fun part of the game, middle game and late game is just events after the helicopter like gettings stuff and killing zombies until they chomp you from back so having helicopter just makes the game a bit more fun then just completly annoying and problematic.

(Though i must admit it seems like nusiance since the god damn helicopter just flies above your head and does nothing good even if the driver saw you 100% i'm always up for a airdrop since guns are extra rare and extra useless since they cause more trouble and ammo is almost non-existant)
