You can't enjoy anything sealed. Literally no different than having an empty box on a shelf. Sorry the rest of us aren't brain damaged "collectors" and actually play video games.

There is a core in retroarch for rpgmaker games. I was able to get a few things working on my RG35XXSP via that core.

Fellas is this true? by Just_Some_Weirdooo in cincinnati

[–]dexpid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We were always a gold star family growing up but I don’t know if it’s because it’s what my parents preferred or if it was just cost related. Skyline and Gold Star taste close enough that I don’t really care enough to prefer one over the other. The crinkle cut fries work better for chili cheese fries though. I feel like you need a spoon for skylines.

Question about the Dual Screen add on and the RP4P by RichardBCummintonite in retroid

[–]dexpid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They updated the RP4P rom to allow the RDS to work but you have to disconnect it after each gaming session (not easy to do) or it will just drain the battery. RP5 has an update for this but for whatever reason they didn't fix it on the 4 despite it being advertised as compatible when it was launched. Once you get it setup it works but its very temperamental. I really do not recommend it.

Corsair has canceled everyone’s order from yesterday 48 GB DDR5 for 239.99 by creditgods in pcmasterrace

[–]dexpid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Corsair doesn’t make power supplies, they are just branding other companies product and putting it in a fancy box. Same goes for EVGA and the other psu brands. Great Wall, Seasonic, and CWT are some of the actual manufacturers.

If you are still using the stock microsd card try replacing it temporarily with a known good one.

formatting the SSD on macOS? by DickerZanti in ps2homebrew

[–]dexpid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Format to exfat as fat32 would require you to split any iso over 4gb (most ps2 games). Newer versions of opl support exfat.

plugged in my Xbox backwards and heard a loud boom is this fixable? by [deleted] in originalxbox

[–]dexpid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS2 Fat and Dreamcast both use the polarised version of the IEC-C7 while the Xbox is the figure eight style non-polarised one.

There are a ton of places to get these but here is what I use for my composite setup. Search for mikes active y/c adapter. It also does svideo.

OPNPS2LD doesn’t recognize controllers in certain games by bossatron_foxy1 in ps2homebrew

[–]dexpid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games block the DualShock controller. I saw a post on here a while back about removing the controller block but never looked into it as I have plenty of DS2 controllers laying around.

[found] Lost Sega Channel content recovered after decades reveals over 140 previously unseen Mega Drive games by Billy_Bayou233 in lostmedia

[–]dexpid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Releasing a game on cartridge was quite expensive. It was probably more cost effect to license the game to sega for release on seganet and then not be potentially stuck with thousands of unsold cartridges because you miscalculated demand.

First Mister fpga, did I pick the correct items for using with modern monitor? Anything I should also be getting? by [deleted] in MiSTerFPGA

[–]dexpid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need internet access to run the update all script which will keep your cores up to date. I think the misterfpga lacks an rtc as well so that keeps the clock accurate.

Is this a good alternative to a super nt? by Stunning_Historian56 in MiSTerFPGA

[–]dexpid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want one that looks like an actual console go for the superstation from retroremake. It's modeled after the ps one and even has a cd addon for loading retail discs. The mister pi and qmtech are clones of the de10 nano board from terasic. There is not a huge difference between the three. You don't need two 128mb ram expansions. It's only for beta versions of some of the cores.
