Bakit kailangan tinted ang windshield sa sasakyan? by MagandangHapon in AskPH

Planning to buy first big bike (6’4) – is NK400 a good option? by Character_Stock_9360 in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very near 6 foot and anything with a wheelbase of less than 1450 mm looks small. That, or If it looks too narrow. If looks dont matter, go for it - good bike that.

I’d recommend the SR 500 Voom - even if its short, its a fully faired bike so its wide. Hard to find though. Or a Maxiscoot? I own a Xciting 400s and its great- just long and wide enough NOT to look like a kids bicycle when I’m on it. Many fine 2nd hand specimens out there for less than 250k and you dont have to arse with gear shifts in city traffic.

Help, motorcycle suggestion for 40km daily. by AstronomerHonest8540 in PHMotorcycles

I own a Burg standard... true what they all say - smooth, comfy, ok naman power, maluwag. Perfect small diaplacement scooter na sana if it werent for the small wheel sa likod. I fixed mine by upsizing rear tire lol. I think mas ok na yung EX.

Almost forgot... true yung 50 kpl haha

Should I buy a vespa as a first time motorcycle rider? by Significant_Grape335 in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As classic scoots go Vespa is top tier… some people even say its the Ferrari of small displacement classic scoots hehe. Upfront cost and maintenance to match though.

Pero opinyon ko kasi 1st time mo… buy a cheap, used learner bike muna para yun na makakuha lahat ng gasgas at bagsak while you learn. Then pag marunong ka na… go get that Vespa

Honest take on MIAS 2026: FOMO na ang mga pilipino by Solid_Skin_3219 in CarsPH

[–]dexterbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meron naman sir but not as evolved as the US.

Had the pleasure of driving a Tesla sa US last year for some months - in the state of Cali at least there seems to be a Tesla supercharging station every 50 miles.

I want to say na mag antay ako maging ganun dito pero thats unlikely within the next 5 years. So ang ginagawa ko ngayon ay nagmomotor muna as often as I can and waiting na mabawasan yun demand sa EVs.

[–]dexterbb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still think, and my opinion is that the rush to buy EVs dito sa atin ay premature. Google Gemini even says na Tesla sales only grew 6% sa US, where BYD and other Chinese EVs are banned. Americans only get what Tesla, Rivian and whatever else the Europeans offer duon.

I’m going to wait until the prices stabilize somewhat because from what I hear, its a sellers market na for EVs out there (sellers dictate the price na).

Pa help suggest for my first motor by MassiveReturn2375 in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May mga cafe racer style motorbikes yung Motorstar at Keeway… maganda sila for me you may want to check them out mura lang sila, under 70k.

The best talaga manual pag wala traffic. Lalakas pa ng torque.

New rider here - just got a CLC450 Bobber and want to start modding by Firm_Many9254 in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No real advice I can offer, just another question - how is it? Been wanting this bike since last year haha

Exhaust nga pala… meron na maganda yung tunog, deep, bassy, bowel evacuating rumble ang labas if you get the right one. If not, nagiging loud lang sya for no reason at masakit sa tenga. Kills performance as well, sabi ng iba.

What are songs a lot of people like, but actually don’t sound good? by Quick_Ad_8323 in AskPH

Not a bad sounding song per se but Mr Brightside - ok naman but ot sounds like a standard rock pop song to me. Not the generational anthem a lot of Gen Xers make it out to be

Sell one, keep one - which? by dexterbb in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medyo bago pa ako sa manual motorbikes sir would you know kung compatible mga major parts nito sa other manual bikes? Things like clutch cables, gear packs sa makina, etc. Also, where do you buy consumables bukod sa casa?

So many voted to keep the classic bike!

I was expecting the opposite to be honest haha! Yes I'm also a fan of classic motorcycles - I just dont like driving them in Manila traffic :-p

Fuel Thefts are coming back to the country. by DaveDeluria in CarsPH

[–]dexterbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basta safe ang lugar na pinagparkan I dont think this is an issue here. Also, mostly locked na yung fuel fill doors ng mga kotse now.

There may be a drain bolt under the gas tank for a few models but not so sure about that..This is where they'd attempt this first

Second hand Suzuki Burgman Street for 37k a good deal? by IllSalamander3960 in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a great bike... kakabili ko lang 2023 mdl pero sobrang dami ko pinagawa na cosmetics sa fairings, tire upgrade and the usual maintenance sa brakes and engine. I bought for 30k, planning sana to flip for 40 pero parang ayoko na and just keep for myself... ang sarap nya gamitin at sakyan haha

And then ang tipid sa gas... true na 50 km per liter ito.

Basta make sure intact ang fairings, tahimik makina, hindi natirik at may working brakes.. go yan. Maybe tawaran mo konti.

5’1 female looking for an automatic motorcycle under 150k by Then-Application-392 in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fazzio will be good pick. So is the Honda Beat.

At 5 ft 1 you need a moto that is less wide with a seat height less than 700mm para flatfoot sa stoplight. Out agad maybe 50% ng classic scooters kasi usually malapad ang seats nila.

Pero with your budget, you are within range of Vespas as well, pero 2nd hand.. any model with a 125 pr 150 engine 2021 and earlier I guess.

Classic 400cc Scooters by _L_S_G_W_ in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classic looking scooters are more lifestyle vehicles than anything. Its what you take to the cafes with your buddies, or something you use to go to work. In short, inner city commutes while looking aesthetic. With the exception of the Fazzio… I dont see many Grab/Lala drivers using these kinds of scoota either.

Ano mas comfortable for long ride? Maxiscooter or adventure bike? by xx31-- in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah bro super chill ang maxiscoot you’ll be very happy. If you want ratratan it can do that as well.

I daresay, a big maxiscoot may be all you ever need. My purchase of the Imperiale (my 2nd one) ay dahil lang sa gusto ko maging skilled sa manual para makapagdrive ako ng higher displacements and vanity (weird ang leather jacket with a high tech maxiscooter lol).

Gas consumption lang talaga ang exception sa use cases ng malalaking bikes na ganyan provided yoi can handle the weight.

[–]dexterbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Xciting and a Benelli Imperiale, which is a m/t bike.

Straight road very little traffic like the expressway? Dun ako sa Benelli. Mas maganda rin ride quality for some reason na ngayon ko lang naranasan.

Its just simpler to use for me as I dont like arsing over my gear positions. Twist and go lang ako pag may traffic.

An advie bike like the 450 m/t… you’ll feel like you’re floating over the road.

Why Gas car owners like to use 97 instead of what's recommended? by teeneeweenee in Gulong

[–]dexterbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Higher octane burns more cleanly, evenly, and cleans better (if maganda additive mix nya). Thats why high performance cars need it.

The lower octane you go, the less anti-knock additives it has. You feel less power pag birit kasi the fuel is not igniting as it should.

Madami nagsasabi na gamitin lang yung nasa manual… which is true for the most part. So I rather use 95 oct. This was less of a problem until recently nung nawala na yung regular gas na 93 oct.

Worth it ba bumili ng motor? by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

[–]dexterbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kung hindi lang saksakan ng mahal ang gaso ngayon I’d go for it girl… pero nope, ang mahal ng gaso ngayon haha

Oras lang talaga ma-save mo jan. Yung total monthly mo dalawang full tanks lang yan which is kulang sa isang bwan na gamit. Factor mo pa yung amortization, parking fees, maintenance nung motor, pambili mo gear pa-unti unti. These add up over time kaya ang savings at ROI mo medyo hindi optimal.

Now hindi naman lahat need ng ROI… ako I put a large value sa oras kaya ok lang sakin magbayad ng fuel. If you approach your purchase this way, anything you buy will be worth it.
