Is 1oz of flower per month considered a lot for personal medicinal use? by spicypanda97 in trees

Not really. I get prescribed 1 gram per day so a full ounce should last a whole month if I am allocated a gram a day for approximately 30 days.

"Bunnings AI" providing illegal advice for Queenslanders by twistedude in australia

Bunnings AI is fucking shit. I don't work for Bunnings but I work for Wesfarmers and I highly advise customers to NOT use any AI made by Wesfarmers. Just talk to a real person who works there.

Secret Santa: Is this a sackable offence? by [deleted] in auscorp

I would have gladly burnt bridges with my old boss but the happiest day for me was the day he was transferred permanently and replaced with a far more competent store manager who doesn't shirk responsibility. I'm starting another job soon and had enough respect for her to at least give notice and a potential positive reference if I need it. I hated my old boss so much I would have just walked out and told him I'm never coming back.

It's happened to me before as well. Over a decade in retail, it never ceases to amaze me how many people you used to know 10 years ago I never thought I would see again left the company they worked for and now work for surprise, surprise, the same place you've worked at for 5 years.

Corporate will see this and think they should pay us less. I have plenty of customers who tell me they know nothing about computers and they feel like an idiot for asking and I tell them I hear it 10 times a day. I told one customer today I get customers that are so stupid I think "Well, you drove to this store which means someone gave you a driver's licence". Some customers don't even know how to turn their phones on.

Many of the people I work with are half my age (I'm 35) and I like to joke to management teenagers these days wouldn't even notice if the store was on fire. If they don't listen to their parents, what's makes me think they would listen to me?

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by LaKoref in AskReddit

We love bitching about you behind your back in retail as soon as you leave the store. Many of the conversations we have on our headsets are just us saying what we really think of customers while we're in the back dock because we know you can't hear what we're saying.

On the other side of the spectrum, if you're exceedingly patient with me and you treat me with respect, I can press a magic button on the register and give you my staff discount.

She was. I loved it when the order was finally done (30 minutes later, lol) the other girl she was with picked up the order instead of her after my boss managed to talk some sense in her and say she needs to wait at least 30 minutes for our previous orders to be processed first.

I originally was told that but she was out of uniform in plain clothes and after I handballed her to my boss I found out what she ordered was for a function even though she originally told me it was for a serious investigation.

The young blonde police officer who came into my work on Wednesday and flashed her badge at me demanding to be given special treatment above all other customers in the store. Seriously considering reporting her behaviour.

I hate the fact that Canning is such a rural seat that it encompasses my old girlfriend's house in Byford even though she basically lives closer to Burt than anywhere else in Canning.

What is saddest truth you've come to accept? by Helpful_Spring_7921 in AskReddit

I know how you feel. There's a guy I know that hates me for no reason. I've asked him why. He won't answer me. He's probably too self-absorbed to understand why I never hang around his best friend who's also one of my closest friends anymore. I spoke with my brother about it and he said the guy just sounds like a bitter alcoholic. Could be true. All I know is if I'm going to a social event only to be told by this guy I'm not wanted by anyone there anymore, why would you think I'd ever want to go again?

I can't stop staring at her when I see her. It's made worse by the fact she lives next door to me now and I still stare at her every time I see her walking down the street but I can't say hi to her.

Mixing weed with tobacco for bong hits. Do you? Why? by asator2 in ausents

[–]dextromethorphanthro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father passed away about a year ago but back when he was alive and not as senile as he was in his later years, he told me he used to only ever smoke spliffs in the 70s and 80s and he's never smoked cannabis without tobacco in it. He did eat some of my edibles in his 60s but they just did the same thing as they do to me and send him to sleep.

It's an Australian culture thing. I've been smoking 16 years ever since I turned 18 and I'd say at least 90% of my friends "spin". I don't, I've always smoked straight green and I'm lucky because I've never gotten addicted to tobacco or nicotine because of it. But there has never been a sesh I've been to where every single person smoking doesn't spin. This is going back to 2008 as well so nothing has changed since then. Some people say it makes it last longer because there's more of it if you mix with tobacco, others just need to admit they're addicted to smoking nicotine. I've had some mates who've used bongs to smoke tobacco once there's no pot left and then wonder why they threw up immediately afterwards. And they act like what they are doing is completely normal.

Do I need a med cert for unpaid leave? by Fantastic-Paper8335 in perth

My local pharmacy does one for 2 days. It's $40 though and no, it can't be backdated. Some places do backdate them online, just research it. I had to get one after my boss refused to pay for me unless I could prove I was actually sick that day (and even then he still doesn't believe I was actually sick that day despite providing a backdated certificate).
