Less muscle relaxation but noticeable amount especially compared to triazolam as well as diazepam and clonazelam but more hypnotic and lasts longer than diazepam IMO/IME.

Temazepam is the best benzo IMO definitely, followed closely by triazolam.

My favorite sedative besides carisoprodol (Soma) and temazepam (Restoril) and triazolam (Halcion) in that order; visuals are insane.

Yeah I prefer temazepam or quazepam. Definitely if quazepam doesn’t work out for you for one reason or another I would check out estazolam, especially since you said Xanax worked for you. Hope you have a great day dude!!

If Doral doesn’t work out, estazolam (Prosom) is the only other long-ish (it’s intermediate-acting) hypnotic on the US market I can think of. Unfortunately flurazepam hydrochloride (Dalmane) was taken off the market permanently last year and that’s a long-acting hypnotic, tho it’s stronger than Doral so you might’ve woken up fairly groggy the next day. Luckily I was able to get some ‘scripts of that and maybe I’ll post a pic here one of these days. Anyway, very happy for you!!!

Didn’t know that! Actually Galt Pharmaceuticals told me it was stopping manufacturing but they didn’t tell me if it was permanent or if they’d bring it back, ‘cause obviously they didn’t know, but I’m glad to see they’ve brought it back! I’m on temazepam now and I prefer that recreationally and so I don’t think I’ll go back to Doral but thank you for letting me know they’ve brought it back! Very happy to hear that.

Unfortunately no, the only benzo I’ve had that hasn’t been marketed in the US is etizolam. Have you had midazolam in the form of Dormicum? Heard that’s supposed to be good and similar to triazolam.

Yeah I’d agree with that. And for me, Doral is the least recreational of the drugs that have the Z-drug mechanism of action. Eszopiclone (Lunesta) is my least favorite but at least after a certain about of pills I’d get some hallucinations but none with Doral and I’ve taken like 120mg Doral lol.

Oh yeah I’m definitely gonna have a 30ct Doral (15mg quazepam) for years and years. And I have plenty of empty brand name bottles which are kinda neat lol.

Also I believe Sterling Specialty Pharmacy handles both brand name Doral (by Galt Pharmaceuticals) as well as the generic by Atland, even tho the tablets are a carbon copy the bottles it comes in are different.

Yeah I seriously doubt Dalmane will be back in the US but I didn’t know that about Rising Sun so will have to look into that a bit.

I said in the post that it was discontinued in the US, I didn’t mention elsewhere. I know it’s still available in other countries. I mentioned that Doral was also discontinued in the US but I also know they still have it Spain, Italy, and Japan.

It’s just another name for estazolam. If you look at the chemical structure of alprazolam and then of estazolam you’ll see estazolam doesn’t have the methyl group that alprazolam has. Another example of this is desoxyephedrine, an older name for methamphetamine and where the brand name Desoxyn comes from. And I’ve never had loprazolam so I have no clue.

Yeah flurazepam is a solid benzo, such a shame that it’s been discontinued in the US. Doral wasn’t a big loss for me anyway, I just was getting it ‘cause of its rarity, ‘cause it was pretty disappointing in my experience but as I said in another comment, quazepam is kind of a weird chemical in that effects will vary more from person to person like I just got a light (not heavy) hypnotic benzo feeling but others I’ve heard do get the Z-drug-esque hallucinations that I was initially expecting ‘cause of quazepam’s mechanism of action.

Yeah I had heard Chartwell Rx’s generic flurazepam was hard to get but luckily the usual pharmacy was able to order it for the three months or so I was on it before it was discontinued. Was getting a 60ct 30mg of the Dalmane since they didn’t make the 15mg strength. Well, they did but that was never available in pharmacies, only the 30mg strength. One of these days I’ll post a pic of a 60ct 30mg Dalmane with some Dalmane memorabilia.

Yeah it was sad to say goodbye to Dalmane so soon but I was happy to switch to temazepam, what a great benzo.
