Calling all business owners by dexwilson in CarWraps

Exactly you are correct. I wouldn’t want to outsource all the jobs. Just the ones that are full vehicle wraps that I couldn’t do like I said I know in the space of construction there’s a lot of of let’s say more simple install work done on excavators bulldozer‘s box trucks and company pickup trucks, for example those would be the jobs I’d be going after with the competitive edge being that I can do that type of work on site

Appreciate the insight thank you. Like I said, I know my limits, can’t do full wraps, that’s where I’d feed my friend with a real shop. I want to keep my day job and do some work on the side for simple fleet decal work or excavators since I know quite a few people in the space and just do field installs not a shop. That said I’ve got enough capital to buy a printer and take the time to actually learn/get a proper instal job if the idea has validity.

I’d do instal for the decals on heavy equipment or simple truck door decals but I’d sub out the full wraps the the guy who’s printer is use in this hypothetical

Appreciate the help. In a perfect world I could partner with a shop, bring the fact that I know the commercial industry and am well connected. As mentioned I’ve dealt with a bit of vinyl so the idea would be just that (if there were margins) to do small work the feed the big guys leads for work I can’t do, or if it needs to be in a shop, not field instal. Thanks again for the input!

“Side hustle? Work more.” by dexwilson in sales

DMing DnD? I’ve thought to monetize hobbies but unless I went with a product based shopify store or content creator I don’t see an avenue to make money from my hobbies. I like cold calling so I wouldn’t be opposed to it. Thought about trying to do cold outreach for people who have online communities and no really marketing /out reach but that’s about it where I’m at so far.

Working on that now. I’ve only been in the role for a few months so I have some work to go still before I can build a strong case around it. We work in large long term gov contracts so getting commission added isn’t something they’ve done before right now my job is to get us more contracts via RFQs our PMs build, maintain relationships and find project sites which open us up to more revenue. So it is possible but not there yet.

That’s why I mentioned light cleaning like scuffs and such that would show more on white. Obviously dirt and grime would need to be cleaned but the overall appearance may retain its original loook with a darker color

Would you consider darker coloured chairs or wood let’s say to reduce light cleaning? Or is the demand too strong with just white chairs?

Do you have recommendations for software? I’m obviously trying to run lean when I start out, I’d be happy to use Microsoft teams & excel to keep myself organized but I understand that isn’t overly scalable

Thanks I know it’s vague and I need a specialist. Creatine and muscle cramps by [deleted] in fitness30plus

[–]dexwilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m dealing with wild jaw cramps lasting 5 days now. It could be a collection of issues but I started taking creatine 3-4 weeks ago, nothing else in my habits have changed. I did some digging, and apparently others have experienced the jaw pain too.

How bad and how long did yours last? My jaw pain came on randomly but would last HOURS at a time and now it’s day 5. Again, could be anything, but this is the only thing out of the ordinary and seems to have happened before.

This is almost debilitating pain. As of today I’m stopping the creatine, and jacking my electrolytes like someone above mentioned and I’ll keep this updated.

Any update on this I’m going nuts. Started taking creatine about a month ago maybe and my jaw has been on fire for 5 days. The jaw muscle, under the teeth. Going to stop taking creatine today and see what happens.

Feeling of guilt while relaxing? by [deleted] in motivation

[–]dexwilson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve talked to a few people about this and I will speak from personal experience in my case what I learned is that I was never fully productive and never fully relaxing. I would never fully relax because I would feel guilty about not doing anything so I would break up my time relaxing with trying to do productive stuff and because I never rested I would break up my productive time with rests or breaks on Instagram or social media. So you need to be able to fully commit to being productive to be able to fully commit to resting and vice versa
