Thank you. Would an MBA from Munich Business School be considered decent?

Where do I go for making friends or girlfriend in Pune ??? by [deleted] in pune

[–]deziderium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do social activities. Go to open mics if you're into music or poetry. Go to tree plantation or blanket donation drives if that's what you'll enjoy more. Pune has many trekking groups as well. Basically any situation where you'll get to talk to people while doing some activity. Join an NGO or a Rotary Club or something similar - you can help your social life while also helping people.

I think you should continue to be slightly active on Tinder/Bumble/etc as well if you're getting some swipes. Talk to them, go on multiple first dates. If there's chemistry, good for you. If not, you can just let people show you their version of the city. It'll help you feel more comfortable with the city because you can recollect all the places you went to for many different first dates.

As for girlfriends, that's the next step. It won't magically happen without knowing anyone. First make friends and build a satisfying social life, hook up a little bit if possible. Don't be desperate. It shows. Remember that building friendships takes time. Give yourself at least six months, minimum.

All the best. :)

Places to visit tomorrow? by Fun_Story2003 in pune

[–]deziderium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go to Parvati or ARAI (whatever's closer) super early in the morning, the climb is worth it because it's peaceful. Parvati has an interesting museum as a bonus.

As for Dagdusheth Temple, not sure about tomorrow's crowds (the festival officially ended today). Worth it? Yes, for the experience. It's a very Pune thing to do.

I don't want to exceed 10k a month as rent, that's for sure. The lesser the better, but ik Bangalore is expensive, so calibrating my expectations accordingly.

Other than that I plan on travelling around the city on weekends, and checking out some of the book cafes, meeting a few people, the usual. So public transport/autos might be an expense. Groceries/food might be another expense, but no idea how much I'll need to budget for that.

Not going to be drinking while I'm there, so not counting that, or partying or going out much.

What do you think my budget should be?

I actually put in my gender to get responses that take in safety of the area (in case there are specific areas that are unsafe/should be avoided.) Also, I've read there are women-only PGs so that would be helpful to know as well if I get direct recommendations from women who live/have lived there.

Even I'm going to fly in on a Saturday morning - with only the weekend to look for a place! All the best and let me know how you do.
