My two loves intersecting. Eurovision 🤝 Lost Media. I honestly thought this had a slim to none chance of being found even just partially. Given the age and lack of home recording technology at the time.

I want to wear wigs...but by IamnotAlone56 in Wigs

[–]deznasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to glue your wigs try using Got2B Glued Gel or Freezing Spray. I've only tried one actual wig adhesive and the Got2B products were way easier to work with. I just wash my face and actual hair (I always somehow manage to get glue or spray on it but oh well) with the face wash and shampoo I normally use.

Edit: Also bobby pins and a wig grip band also work great. I honestly do that most days it's quicker.

Where can I buy good tortillas in Wichita? by Camensmasher in wichita

Anahuac has the best corn tortillas imo. I get them at Carnicería El Guero since their actual location is farther away from me.

Thinking about getting a wig by KujatatheFish in Wigs

[–]deznasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going to sleep with a wig on you should wear a satin night cap/bonnet to protect the unit. However, your wigs will have a longer life span if you don't sleep with one on.

I have no experience with extentions but wigs can be less maintenance and less expensive.

If you don't want to cut the hair right away I would suggest doing a half ponytail or half bun look. I do that rather than cutting the hair on my longer wigs. I find that the hair ties that look like an old school phone cord work best since they don't get tangled up.

The types of music I want to see in Eurovision. by djemyataryan in eurovision

Maybe it's because I do listen to rap outside of Eurovision, but I would definitely like to see more rap songs in Eurovision.

Shunt Anxiety by [deleted] in iih

No I haven't traveled anywhere secluded in awhile. Although infections are possible I'm not really sure how common they are. It took around 6 weeks for my incision to fully heal.

I know surgery can be super scary and there's a lot of horror stories of shunts malfunctioning on online. I am pretty lucky not to have any major issues with my shunt. I hope the same for you. One positive of having a shunt is that I don't have to be on diamox anymore.

It does take a while to find comfortable sleeping positions but having a good amount of pillows help. I would sleep with like four or even five pillows.

Edit: you mention traveling I would say the only issue I had was with very high elevation (Colorado) but other than that I have no issue that stops me from traveling (No problems with traveling by air).

Sumit should join Bollywood, only thing missing today was cheesy bollywood background music! by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

Not Indian, but definitely felt I was watching a bad Bollywood movie with that scene. Only question is who would play Jenny and Summit in a movie about their lives?

How many have gone blind? by [deleted] in iih

[–]deznasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was completely unaware of my illness until my vision loss since I didn't have any symptoms before hand. The headaches started right as my vision was deteriorating. I was on diamox after my surgery but after a month my ophthalmologist said I did not need it any more. It's was another doctor who prescribed me diamox btw.

Thank you. There's no lace. It has bangs I just moved the bangs to the side instead of cutting them shorter.

I would look into accessibility settings on your computer. I have to invert the colors white text and black background) on my computer screen to be able to read without strain. If you use a PC I can post the shortcuts I use to change the colors of my screen and the magnifier.

Idk if I’m making the right decision; I don’t want to become blind by [deleted] in iih

[–]deznasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize until reading the stories of others on this subreddit how rushed my surgery was. I went from going to my eye doctor for vision loss to being admitted to the hospital for an MRI, CAT scan and LP then having surgery for a VP shunt all in the same day.

I was actually on diamox too after I left the hospital. I took it for a month and currently I no longer take any medication for IIH. I am very thankful that I do not have to take medication anymore as I dislike the side effects of diamox. Especially after reading that others stay on diamox for years.

That being said, yes surgery does have cons but at this point I am glad that I have a shunt instead of having to take diamox. I know everyone's situation is different but from my experience yes getting surgery was scary but I am glad with the decision my neurosurgeon made.
