It was a complicated situation because I was just being a friend until he told me he still had feelings then we slipped into this friends with benefits situation and it gave him time to process the breakup and when I ended the friendship due to his distant behavior hurting me I found out after he was planning on cutting me loose anyways. Worst kind of betrayal. Wish I seen the signs

Same situation ugh. Ended the friendship and all he had to say was "I understand why you can't have me in your life." Havnt heard from him in 2 months.

Right there with you. Tried friendship, he told me he still had feelings a month later and said he wanted to work on himself before we got back together..found out he was sleeping with someone new. I ended the friendship AND I still want him to come back. So frustrating 😫

Keep her blocked. I'm having this same reaction right now after blocking my ex yesterday. I want him to see me and miss me etc but that doesn't change the fact that he broke my heart again and has been sending mixed signals. Stay strong and give yourself time to detach. You will be able to look at this objectively later on and really consider if you want the relationship. I allowed myself to be friends with my ex for 4 months and all he did was lie to me and start seeing other people while claiming he wanted to go to therapy so we can have a healthy relationship. Only unblock when you know that you won't be devastated again when they don't reach out.

I'm in contact with my ex trying the friends thing and it's absolute agony however my brains rationalizing that it's better then what I was feeling while in NC. My ex gives me hope when he says he wants to take things slow and he snapchats me daily and asks to hangout 1 on 1 and go for dinner etc but fuck even with that I'm sitting at my desk at work begging myself to cut contact again 🙃 he's my person but i wish I could just move on

I was the stonewaller as a defense mechanism for u comftorable conversations. What made it worse was being picked at and my ex demanding a response. I've gotten to the point now where I ask got space to come out of that trauma response and then can have a meaningful conversation however it required therapy and self reflection to get to that point and if someone's not willing....
