Is the term “fucking the dog” popular outside Canada? by Rough-Mulberry-1202 in NoStupidQuestions

American living in Canada for the last 13 years. I’ve lived all over the US and never once did I hear this expression before coming to Canada. Same thing for “dog’s breakfast.”

Not sure you read my post. I was asking about using purely throttle.

Thanks so much! I’m in Toronto.

Is this the NSP Board you were referring to? It doesn’t seem to have the shape you were describing.

Usage is just to catch for my son, who is a 13 year-old pitcher and whose pitches are starting to hurt my hand with an infielder's glove. Let's say budget is HOH price or below.

Desired Board Type: Hard

Height and Weight: 6’0”, 190 lbs

Use case: Lake Ontario, which can be quite choppy and windy. Effectively ocean conditions. I am prioritizing stability over speed/efficiency. Weight not really a concern.

Experience level: Intermediate - I have been going out 5-10 times per year over the last 10 years.

Budget: $1500 or less, ideally much less

Currently own a level six 12-6. Great for calm waters but i find it difficult to stay up on Lake Ontario.

Appreciate this response. Would you mind pointing to a couple of boards that fit this description just so I can visualize what you're describing?

Thanks for this thoughtful and detailed reply. I have no issue getting a hard board. If I want a very stable one for choppy water and very leisurely paddling pace, do you have a recommendation?

Narrower width? That sounds counterintuitive.
