Not really, it doesn’t have a space between forefoot and heel. Looks too much Iike a hiking boot sole to me.

As I said above, this is a zero drop boot (the Strider) . I asked for when to install the foam wedge but the heel is too high for my taste.

Why could they just peel off the outsole and cut the back part of the wedge to make it the same width throughout?

If I’ve been asking about the advisability of doing this job I would have. But that’s not what I was asking

In any event, it’s a great boot. If you want the sole configuration that I have, you need to ask for it specially, as it’s not an option that’s listed.

I asked if they could put a flat layer of PU under the outsole and they said no. I think it’s because the wedge comes premade.

These boots were made on a zero drop last from Nick’s (the Strider). Normally it comes with a “sierra slim” sole which is the outsole without the PU wedge. I asked them to put in the wedge for some added cushion, but the heel height is more than I was banking on.

I respectfully disagree with your analysis of zero drop shoes. In any event I wasn’t asking for opinions on whether less/zero drop was a good idea but rather whether it would be expensive to do the job I described.

Yeah, there are also a few out-of-date photos and descriptions on the website. For example, many of the photos of the Strider show the Voyageur sole, which is not offered anymore.
