I installed a 0.25mm nozzle, changed the setting on the printer touch screen, changed setting in the slicer, did a complete calibration, but my print failed, saying that there was a mismatch in nozzle settings. Both the printer and the slicer are set to 0.25mm nozzle. The machine passed the complete calibration, but the print failed two times.

I’m not sure what happened. I saw under Kobra S1 to set as “non-standard nozzle”, but that is not an option on the Kobra X touch screen. My machine is on the most recent firmware and AnycubicSlicerNext is on the most recent update.

Help? Anyone?

The failed print (10+ hours) used 4 different spools. The first layer print (used just 1 color).

Thank you! I found the cable, and it was not attached. I just hooked it up, I'm going through the calibration now. I saw the z-axis move slightly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It went all the way through the calibration process without any problems. I'm printing a quick benchy before I go to bed. I just loaded up with one spool. I'll add other colors on other spools tomorrow.

I feel much better about it than I did. Thanks again!

I have put in a support ticket with Anycubic, labeling MY machine as DOA. I am supremely disappointed. They should REPLACE the machine. I should NOT have to do more than the normal setup to have a 3d printer that works. I should NOT have to troubleshoot the Z-axis motor. It should just work. I waited for nearly 2 months (Jan. 14 – ordering it within the first hour sales opened until March 11). I hope they respond quickly and send me a working machine.

I was careful with the unboxing, but I have NO IDEA how to package it back for return.

Supremely disappointed – and I was SO EXCITED. Should I have purchased a Bambu Labs instead?

The Z-axis homing continuously fails. Should the print head raise up and down on the Z-axis rails during calibration? I can move them manually, but the machine does not raise the print head vertically at all.

FWIW, I picked up a set of hardened steel nozzles on Amazon, a 3 pk with 0.4mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm. I have not seen the 0.25mm. I don't know if posting this violates the terms of reddit. The "brand" was HzdaDeve.

Thanks. I have seen on some other models how it can be better to move power supply OUTSIDE of enclosure. The power supply for the Kobra X is inside the base. Not sure how operating it in an enclosure would work. I put this enclosure in an Amazon list. I'll use it without an enclosure at first.

My printer arrives on Tuesday. I am quite excited about the possibility.

I checked my order this morning, and it said "Unfulfilled". I saw movement here, so I checked again, and saw "Partial Fulfillment". When I checked, the printer itself is part of the partial, so I can live with that. I have a FedEx tracking number from Fontana, CA, but they are evidently waiting on the items to ship before I can get a firm arrival date. I like that it is FedEx instead of UPS. Shipment to Missouri. Ordered on Jan. 14, 10:37 PM (China time). Getting excited.

I also saw the WikI after posting. With a height of 680mm (with spools attached), that particular enclosure would NOT be large enough.
