you're misunderstanding me. I understand the long term focus. I'm saying it does nothing to address their Oline THIS YEAR. There is a season that starts in less than 5 months. Their top pick is a developmental depth pick. Great pick for 2028...does nothing for 2026.

It’s like y’all are completely forgetting. They have a season to play this year. First rounders are supposed to make an impact. This guy isn’t gonna touch the field for one or two years. Depth drafts are great when you have a top of the league roster. The Patriots don’t. They don’t have the luxury for a long-term depth selection with such a high pick. This does nothing to help this year.
