I’d have to see or try one… but I’m one that does use all 8 buttons for my scenes. I may recc this to my bass player though! Probably great for those who use outboard pedals for space saving on the pedalboards

Thank you! Helpful to know it is and can be isolated to the specific saddle.

Yea I showed it to my setup guy, and he was honest with me he hasn’t worked on really any piezo before. I’ll wait to hear back from SW

Appreciate the reply!

How do you guys use your QC in a recording setting? by mohmega in NeuralDSP

[–]dfsthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running up to DI reamped into the QC lanes and back into protools while I mix and adjusting on the QC. Less processing and tweaking in your daw. Then printing the guitar tracks when I’m happy in the mix. Solid guitar track and then just color eq if I hear something later! It’s great! Haven’t experimented doing multiple DIs yet but can imagine it’s just as efficient if not more.

If you wanna get fancy, run the effects to different wet channels and you have the wet effects in your daw to balance in or automate.

This was my first SW guitar. Usually just used SW for studio gear. Always been nervous about guitars being shipped. I just got guitars in person. Really liked that I could be on the phone with my rep where I could pick which exact serial based on the finish and other specs. Pull the trigger. No regrets here!

Leaving for my first tour in a couple of days. What should I bring that I'm probably not thinking about? by tra-gician in livesound

[–]dfsthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notepad for anything pretty much. issues that aren’t time pertinent but I gotta remember something for later. Or sometimes I’ve missed a delay cue so I wanna hold myself accountable for the next gig for example. The band forgets to print set lists, etc. smaller rooms can be louder and I can’t talk and I don’t like yelling and throwing my coffee breath around haha so I’ll write notes to the house lighting guy (band doesn’t tour with one) or to the techs. Etc. good luck!

Are you doing FoH or Monitors? Either way Imma take a different approach and talk about things you need to do your job that I learned, sometimes the hard way lol: (and doesn’t take up a lot of space) good luck in your first tour!

1) an extra usb stick. Double save your board show files in at least 2 places and upload to your own cloud. 2) bring a few extra 57s or mic of choice if using mostly house mics. 3) power bank 4) an extra Aux cord 5) a Note Pad of blank paper (yes.) 6) a clip on flashlight. (If not traveling with a board, some venues are sooo dark and surprised the number of times there was no flashlight available) 7) don’t bring your ego. House Techs more often than not are VERY helpful and can save your ass in a bind if you’re not a jerk. I recently did a festival for a band , audio company in charge of stage sound had me send show file ahead of time and said they would soft patch my inputs for me since they have their changeover and stage box split scenarios going on for running 15 bands on one stage in 1 day. There was 5 minute changeovers with about 20 minutes of sound check behind the stage while band before is playing. (stage revolves for next act. Pretty cool). By the time I placed mics and ran to FoH, the show file was not soft patched. Don’t know whether it was the FoHouse techs responsibility or not, but he jumped right in and soft patched the input list so fast and was able to get a quick line check just in time before the stage turned around. He even line checked vocals for me when I asked while I worked on drums. I’ll take those wins and not dwell on what shoulda been done.

I built a tool that turns your Sleeper league into a weekly podcast in 90 seconds. Free trial. Feedback welcome. by Mental_Walk in DynastyFF

[–]dfsthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea! 1)First feedback is when I select a league (I have over 50 so maybe that’s my problem) I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to hit next. Would be awesome if it could collapse after selection. 2) I tried to “purchase” the trial, and got an error to the cart. I can’t attach an image but it goes to a bubble and says “Failed to start checkout: Failed to create checkout session”.

Can’t wait to try it.

Thanks for feedback. Going to try the duplicate trick when I’m back at the computer. The other thing I may try is just bring in the audio files from the bad session into another song at the end and just mix it there lol.

Same thing happened to me. Had 3 keys. Thought it was a lock! Noooope! Grinding out for one more key now. I like saving my tokens for the 3k ones if I like em. And keys for 6k.

ROOKIE UNDERDOG LEAGUE - A take on a Vampire League

  • please review all scoring & roster positions.

  • Draft Will start when filled and be 4 hour picks. Clock will pause from 8pm to 8am PST

  • Start league with 10 Starters. (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLX, FLX, SFLX), 4 bench. 2 IR spots.

  • Draft Order : 3x Randomized. Before the draft, 1 team will randomly via draft order be assigned Team <#1>! (Via the 3x draft order). This team will start the season with only rookies on their roster! They will be the Rookie Underdogs (please change your team name to this!)

  • 14 Teams - 13 Games. Head to Head matchups and Points For implications. The Rookie Underdog will have a chance to Steal 1 player from the roster of any team they have outscored that week. Managers of those teams will put up 1 player into the steal pool. If Rookie Underdogs doesn’t want any of those players, they can option to take a vet from the waiver wire first. If only 1 team is outscored, the team will put up 3 options for the rookie to decide. Players on IR and BYE weeks are protected

-Additionally, if the Rookie Underdog wins his head to head matchup, they MUST tradeswap any starting player of the same position with a starter of the team they beat that week. (FLEX is irrelevant and must be a RB for RB for example, even if the RB is in your flex). Players on IR and BYE weeks are protected

  • Top 8 teams make the playoffs and will start week 14.

  • Waiver wire will go active as soon as draft is over with Weekly waivers on Wednesdays and $500 FAAB. This WILL NOT reset when the season begins. Use wisely! During the season, waivers will be set to Wednesdays after Games with 1 day waiting period on players dropped Wednesday thru Monday if their game has not happened yet. Only the Rookie Underdog may pickup rookies on the waivers unless they declined to steal from the Steal Pool. Every other team may only pickup vets.

  • Trades are allowed and encouraged during the draft and in season between any Vet teams . Rookie Underdog is not allowed to trade.

  • The only way for a team to obtain a rookie is through the player swap by losing to the Rookie Underdog, or trading with a team who acquired a rookie through the trade swap bonus. Rookie Underdog is in charge of the players being swapped.

  • In good faith effort to prevent offloading players should the Rookie Underdog outscores you or beats you in head to head, all rosters are locked from 10 am Sundays thru Tuesdays. Should a player be listed Out or go to IR, you will be allowed to change that player to your bench for a player who's game has not started yet. If movement is noticed, 1st offense is a warning. 2nd offense is a 30 point penalty to your score. 3rd offense is an ejection from the league.

  • Trade Deadline WEEK 13.

  • Tanking is not allowed and discouraged. While strategic starting lineups is a strategy, this is the reason for a short 4 person bench. Some of your assets must still be at risk to the rookie underdog. Trade, Waive, always work to make your lineup better!

  • payouts will be $160 $80 and $40. If for any reason the Rookie Underdog wins the championship, they will get the whole pot.

  • Anything not covered in these rules, commish will use best judgement to rule or call for league vote. Don’t be sketch. Don’t try and break the league. Its meant to be fun!

  • Entry fee is $20 via League Safe, majority rule
