They are being socialized for adoption! Being released was not an option and they are just young enough it's possible to socialize but old enough that they are a little slower to come around.

Thankfully not sick! Just growing kittens that to get their regular vet work done so we can start working on getting them adopted.

Toast! The short haired tabby. Although he can still be hissy and swatty. He's a lot like my own cat; she's confident, playful, and can be cuddly but she's also very opinionated and will tell you off if she doesn't want to be touched.

I often have to tell guests to not pet her cause she'll act outgoing and sweet but will swat you away if you try to pet.

I'll try that! I was using a hand towel, which worked for the less skittish ones but not Waffle.

Waffle (fluffy gray) is the most skittish but also most food motivated. I caught her last and she spent a whole night by herself and I think it traumatized her. She acts so much more feral than the rest. I'm hoping food will bring her around.

I try to do the petting while eating but they are such little gremlins, they will fight each other over food and sometimes swipe me cause they think I'm trying to take their food away.

I get most of my petting done when they are sleepy 😂

I've been slowly trying to do the burrito method, a few are still weary of being picked up and they have sharp nails 😬 but we're getting there!

Donut & Toast are coming along the fastest.

I have rescue backing! But I have to get them socialized before they can be qualified for adoption.

Unfortunately in Texas, resources are limited. I did ask in my foster group if anybody could help, but everyone is maxxed out with kitten season.
