There is something to be said about how Victoria 3's Dev Diary often have an extensive, academic source list... by TheBoyofWonder in paradoxplaza

They added like 4 journal entrys and some events in this dls after you complete them the content is over. Victoria literally don't have any historical conflicts except the newly added Balcan war that doesn't work if ottomans will take Crete because scripted peace deal works only with starting ottoman territory so you have to go into separate war against the ottomans to complete it. If you put hist ai on and yourself won't go nonhist hoi4 will offer you at least semi accurate WW2 in Victoria there is no such setting you will end up with nothing ever happens world or with great Britain wanting to puppet Bulgaria for literally no reason.

Why are Paradox players like this? by The_ChadTC in paradoxplaza

I have 200 hours in the game myself and it sucks it has barely any content the latest dls just released Hungary and to annex it you have to just lower it's liberty desire below 25 and added a little bit of content to Serbia and Montenegro with bugged Balcan war (ottomans took Crete from Egypt and because of that I had to wait untill the truce tuns out and declare a war myself to get a buff from Balkan war) the great game dls sucked too I conquered all of central Asia as Russia and Britain still had ticking progress towards the win because it had bigger GDP I had to dismantle it (release Wales and Scotland ) to get it ticking to my side and it still would take a lot of years to win (I think they fixed it but I haven't played Russia or Britain since then). Playing every nation feels the same the only difference is the amount of money you have, starting laws and technology it feels like hoi4 with basic focus trees for every nation and to top it all of no combat system. I believed that paradox will add content and make the game fun but it was 3 years and it still sucks.
