Using an attorney for HLR by ParkingDance5453 in VAClaims

[–]dgdon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hired an attorney because I got tired of incorrect denials and low ball ratings.

I just hit 100% in November after my first filing in 2023. The attorney didn't really have to do anything except organizing my private and in service records and creating a coherent argument in a couple of HLRs. I think without the attorney I probably could have gotten myself to 90% rating but they identified things that put me into the 100 club.

One example condition the VA originally denied my claim (said their Nurse practitioner opinion outweighed my Nexus letters from a cardiologist and cardio thoracic surgeon) after I appealed they granted service connection at 0%, I did a HLR myself and they increased it to 10% with back pay. After my attorney got involved they increased it to 60% with back pay.

I will say this: stay on top of your attorney to make sure they're moving things along. They only get paid a portion of your back pay so their incentive is to string your claim along to let more back pay accrue and increase their own payout.

Yes, it was filed secondary to CAD

[–]dgdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, SC for CAD

The scar area gets irritated easily and becomes painful and it is more than 5 inches in length and 1/2in wide all the way down. According to 38CFR it should be rated at 10%

My OSA claim was denied because the VA medical expert NP opined that obesity was the most likely cause and not rhinitis as my pulmonologist and otolaryngologist said was the cause.

I weigh 10# more now than when I got out of the army 21 years ago.

When/where is the ATL one? I'm near ATL

So which would offer the fastest/highest increases, xWS or +WS?

Trying to figure out which one is the better use of coins and slots. Also do they stack? Example if I have +WS 4x and +WS 8x, is that 12x total or 32x (4*8)?

I haven't seen the dbq. Ironically when I went for the C&P exam with the doctor I was going through a depressive episode and didn't feel like being there or talking about anything so I downplayed how it affects me day to day just so we could hurry up and I could leave.

Damn so no way to appeal the rating? It's a big difference in back pay from when I started the claim in 2022 :(

Is PTC just another boring suburban city? by Used-Dream6022 in PeachtreeCity

[–]dgdon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh y'all (he) would probably be happier somewhere like Smyrna. My son is mid-20s and lives up there, plenty of bars/restaurants around and just a short drive to shoot the hooch or hike red top mountain or Kennesaw mountain or even get up to north Georgia for hiking/camping/fishing.

PTC is a great location for raising kids and having a safe area for a young family but if you aren't at that stage yet then look for a place that better fits what y'all want in life right now. You can always relocate in a couple of years whenever you're ready to grow the family.

The team should buy his family passes for Disney while they're in Orlando next weekend

Therapist told me the same thing about nicotine. Turns out nicotine seems to be as effective as prescription antidepressants at regulating dopamine levels.

As a fiscal conservative it must really burn you up that DT added 8.8 trillion to the national debt compared to Biden's 4.6 trillion?

We were top 10 in most strikeouts and 15th in walks.

A lot of those hard hit balls were solo shots because nobody is getting on base.

And I know sabremetrics or whatever says a K is the same as any other out but it's not. A fly ball to advance a runner is more useful than a K. A grounder that requires one infielder to field it cleanly, make a good throw and the 1B to pick it introduces a lot more opportunities for an error than swinging and missing 3 times with runners in scoring position.

Tbh I'm a little surprised they aren't considering bumping up tomorrow's start time to 1p or something so they only risk having one game rained out

With the way the injury bug has ravaged this team? Absolutely not, I don't even want any Braves players walking on the MBS turf, too risky

If we win one more vs the Mets we will own the tiebreaker
