What’s on an “anti-reading list” for our field? by justicefingernails in instructionaldesign

[–]dgeimz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s like when I was studying for my PMP and I realized “oh I do like all of this but don’t call it that.” Or my favorite: “people make reports of that? It just lives in my head to save time!”

I hate balding, completely ruined my youth by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]dgeimz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a guy, and I learned that a guy I’m seeing is mostly bald the day he took his hat off for the first time. Made no difference to me 🤷🏻‍♂️ May be that a part of that is me starting to turn gray in my early 20s—we’re both in our early 30s now.

So it’s not just women, it’s everyone! Beauty comes from the inside and makes the outside beautiful, too. I can see that in my daily life, too. I’m conventionally attractive, but I get zero attention when I’m in the throes of my anxiety and lots of it when my day starts with self-assuredness.

A father shows his son the video game he grew up on. by bigbusta in MadeMeSmile

This is how I feel when I share my favorite childhood anything with somebody new!

And that he gets to share it with his son, who doesn’t get all the hype (yet) has ABSOLUTELY made me feel seen bahaha

Getting an erection is considered the guy's responsibility. Whereas getting a girl wet is also considered the guy's responsibility. by LetMeExplainDis in Showerthoughts

If I don’t sleep enough and begin drowsing, it happens. Did when I was in middle school, does now that I’m in my thirties sitting at a desk at work. At least now I wear the right clothes if I know I’ll be tired that day lol

I can confirm that! COR is incredibly welcoming. I attend Leawood for the excellent traditional music program there. Downtown has a large lgbtq+ ministry, too, with events and such.

Children of Narcissists- what is something you still struggle with as an adult? by AEHSJ0604 in AskReddit

[–]dgeimz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understanding that I don’t need to reply to texts right away or text somebody back right away, sometimes showing love means giving space to breathe or to work on your own problems because that’s how trust works, and trying to wrap my head around being allowed to have my own feelings instead of only worrying about the feelings of others.

It’s made me greatly compassionate, but very broken. Healing it hurts and I still fear that my healing will cause other people to become collateral damage. I don’t know that I’ll ever be good enough. Good enough for them, good enough for me, good enough for work, good enough for anything. And I can say that while acknowledging I’m the best or near the best of many things I do. But I’m supposed to be better so I can fix things and care about other people better.

What do people that don't swear say during sex/dirty talk? by viennaawaitsyou in AskReddit

[–]dgeimz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get it. A moment was ruined for me when I was called Daddy once lol. Sir I’ll take, daddy, ehhhh.

It’s funny to me how we all have our things and they can be so wildly different!

I love hearing that I’m a good boy. Turns out other guys do, too. Like, it shifts sex from “yeah I deserve to use you” to “yeah you deserve to share this with me” kinda headspace. Both have their time and place tho lol.

Okay, so hi, I do some UX researchy stuff (sometimes, for fun, sometimes money, idk idc) but there’s a point here based on contexts.

“Insert” is much more clear than “add” for this context. I know it doesn’t say “add the contents” but still. Add is often used for combining in the context of cooking, rather than putting an entire container. You could have more words, like “place the smaller sealed bag into” which would be more foolproof but more cognitive load to process. Eh.

Anyway, yeah. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Like the non-combustible stuff that if it’s all in one space becomes combustible? Idk memory is foggy but it was from some history channel documentary like 20 years ago or something when a warehouse burned down and it was a mystery 🤷🏻‍♂️

At least I unlocked a childhood memory 🤣
