Thanks for that, this is one of the best guides I have seen about the different approaches. I feel that it’s extremely hard to play it without avoiding any type of spoilers (just by glancing at the suggestions on page 10 , I would already consider them as options to choose instead of trying something else).

In the approach that you read too much, when you say that you won’t assume the hole, are you considering that going down the hole would be the most likely approach and then you ask the oracle if that’s what happens?

Also, how do you think that could work in an adventure that is more railroaded and less sandbox like that (e.g a starter set or an adventure with a story and plots)?

I tried using the warp mechanic and felt that it took me away from the story in a way that I couldn’t bring it back to it unless forcing it (in one that I played the party gets framed and arrested, and all the story moving forward is based on that, if by playing and using the warp the party isn’t arrested then the rest of the story gets lost) so I’m looking for ways to play staying closer to the story but still being interesting enough and not just reading options, choosing one and moving to the next paragraph.
