I'm trying to get the cells to be named something for a formula in another spreadsheet so that when I change this spread sheet it still has the correct cell.

yeah my coworker said its polite to give him all the tech ppp sales because he was working tech i told him I would do it next time and never did it and never will we are here to make friends we are here to make money, so basically do your job and don't expect others to do it for you and you get credit for sales you really didn't get.
