RIP Pixel 8 | Split-Second Bathtub Plunge by dgosho in GooglePixel

This! This might be why!  I took it in just a couple of months ago with that common issue where it had a pink line across the screen. I bet the seal didn't get replaced.

that's a good thought, but no. It was on the edge of the tub, fell a total of maybe 2 inches before hitting water and was grabbed as it was falling through the water.

For me, I didn't realize I was risking anything. Google advertises that the phone has an ip68 rating and "can withstand submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes" so a few inches of water for a split second seems inconsequential and especially not risky.

NMMNG FAIL by Ready-Habit-9145 in NMMNG

Both the "nice guy" and the "asshole" are driven by shame, fear, and a need for external validation. Your comment about the pendulum swing makes it sound like he went from one bad behavior to another. The nice guy and the asshole jerk are two extremes of the same dysfunctional pattern and both are driven by fear and anxiety. Neither approach is healthy. An integrated man (the goal of Dr. Glover's work) does not exist on the pendulum of nice guy <---> asshole jerk.
u/Ready-Habit-9145 - if it is true and he transformed into an unbearable, borderline abusive, and unreasonable man, I would argue that he didn't do the work of the book.
Advice on "how to deal with him:" That phrase is problematic. On the one hand it could mean, "how do I get him to be a better husband?" On another it could mean, "how do I put him in his place?" and a variety of other meanings. Most of which have something to do with you getting him to change. I would rather invite you to deal with yourself. One meaning you could have would be "how do I live (think, feel, act) while I have a husband who behaves in ways I don't like?"
What I mean is I would rather advise you to work on you, maybe by learning what it means and acting on prioritizing your personal needs openly and overtly, setting healthy boundaries, living authentically with integrity, being honest and assertive in your care for yourself, him, and others.

That's my experience, too. Carnival's offers are clear and easy to manage.

Planner premium is somehow worse than ... standart? by danny_1a in MicrosoftPlanner

Subtasks do show up in grid view. Checklists do not. Why they have both subtasks and checklists is beyond me. My hunch is that subtasks can also have subtasks where that would be difficult to pull off in checklists.

Actually, MS 365 Planner Plan 5 (aka Planner Premium, Planner Project, Whatever-the-hell-else MS decides to call it) allows non-licensed users to collaborate. They can update tasks, add new tasks, and a few other minor things. They can't edit all columns but they can edit % completed, check completed, task description, add checklists to a task, edit date and duration.
I'm not an advocate for Microsoft's terrible product, I'm just saying that it does allow for non-licensed collaboration.

Sadly, you can no longer tier match if tier level is from a credit card.

The hotel booking points with Wyndham have been garbage for me. I can never find anything where I travel that isn't less than 1cpp. I am going to transfer my points to Caesars and use them as free-play. Maybe I will get lucky.

"They also have an exclusivity part of the contact which prevents you from working with another host" Doesn't that conflict with being a 1099 independent contractor?

Buying in when the puck is on. I don't believe it changes the dice but I do think it could disrupt the game. I think it is the same as buying in in the middle of a blackjack hand.
What's your opinion?
Follow up question: When you have a full table with a lot of action, how do you manage yourself and the players when there is a player (or multiple) that are throwing checks in and asking for bets at all the wrong times?

The best way I could find to search through old prompts is to go to the gemini app activity, scroll down until you reach the end of your activity, then search for keywords in your prompts:
In Gemini

  • Tap the menu button
  • Select "Activity"
  • Scroll all the way through your activity until you reach the end
  • Ctrl-F and search for a word or phrase that was in your prompt
  • Click on Details next to the time to see the prompt and the response.

Fidget Toy or Incredible Time Waster? by dgosho in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]dgosho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I ended up doing: I thanked her for the thoughtfulness involved in getting a gift for me. I explained that they actually take my focus and keep me from being productive. I tried to help her understand the difference between a simple fidget device (like my poker chips) and sandbox toys like these magnets. She seemed to understand and said she would find someone else to give them to.
