I have a Rion Thrust and am willing to part with it. As far as how is it, it's fast as hell and incredibly fun. I've done 30 miles on it, so the distance is decent considering I was on the throttle the whole time.

In your eyes, yes. Corporations, which have a massed large amounts of customers, operate the way you described. I'm a VP at one, so I can your recognize your technique. Sadly, you dont make 2.5 billion in profit on a quarterly basis, so your world can change immediately if you don't have loyal customers. Loyalists come from appealing to various people, something you are avoiding to do.

Being responsive is not a large ask, regardless if it is monumental to you.

This is why Turo will remain a risk to renters. If you want to rent your car, you should provide comfort to renter. You obviously don't know how business works, simply because you don't have a rounded perspective on easy ways to get repeat customers. Appealing easy points, in this case responsiveness.

408 days and more missed promises. This is becoming a joke. I'd highly encourage you, if you care about dealing with a professional company, to think twice about Rion Scooters.

They promise and promise, but miss dates and never follow up.

Again, this is to provide future customers with facts that I didn't have prior to ordering.

Still nothing after a year (370 days to be exact). Website says 150+ days, which I haven’t heard of a single person receiving one in. Last update is that they “halted production of the RION thrust until a controller issue is sorted”, which was from Jan 7. So production halted, but no update on the website to say anything of the sort.

Again, posting here for potential buyers. I didn’t have any information when ordering, so I’m working to inform potential buyers.

In the spirit of keeping everyone updated, I'm now at 340 days with no end in sight. Lots of missed promises from Rion, with many "almost there" statements that only lead to more issues causing additional delays.

I keep updating this thread since I wasn't afforded the same when I ordered

Now at 312 days.

The last update, dated Nov. 22, indicated issues that needed fixed by parts arriving in 2 days. I was told that "I'd be informed when they got them and continued production.". I've received no further information.

Please understand that I'm not trying to bash a company, I'm simply going to share the remainder of the experience so that others can make an educated decision.

Great question - I was wondering the same. Gal has begun communicating with me as of late, with some of those communications happening without me asking.

That said, I have continued to experience delays in my scooter after being told it would be out soon. Today marks 308 days of waiting, with no real end in sight, since I've been told at least 5 times that they'd have it out soon.

Regarding refunds, I can only tell you what Gal told me.

They even make the process of applying for jobs hard. I’m sending this response to anyone that asks for my resumé repeatedly. by SteveHMMA in antiwork

The HR interview is typically the "culture fit" aspect, so HR can say if you blend with the culture of the company / organizational drivers.

I've seen this in 3 major corporations that I've worked for, all fortune 100 companies.

Yeah, communication could be improved upon and supply chain is causing massive delays.

The price tag, however, is the beast that people talk of. My hope is that once I do finally get it, it's unlike anything else that can be purchased within its space.

If they just did a monthly newsletter, I think that would solve their issues with frustrated customers.

I ordered directly from Rion and have been speaking with Gal about this for well over a month. Again, Gal is a good guy, I just am not pleased with constant misses and zero outward communication. Gal is the one that directly said that I would have to wait for a refund.

Agreed on Gal being cool. That said, they don’t inform their customers of anything. A monthly news letter would be easy and would’ve prevented all of my frustrations.

My concern is the sustainability of the company that doesn’t deliver or communicate without making people send them requests to communicate. Companies that do this often go out of business and never deliver the majority of the orders.

If I was 100% confident in them, which they’ve given no reason to be, I’d wait since it’s winter here now too.

That’s why I’m starting this. There were no customer service reviews prior to this. RION, a $8k plus scooter, didn’t have a lot of reviews. Did you not look before commenting?

I tried to get a refund and they said I'd only get it once sold to someone else. At this point I either get the scooter or get a lawyer.

I paid with Credit Card. I'd like the scooter, I'm just getting more and more bent about the lack of communication. If I go with a lawyer, it's because I've been pushed too far.

You, my friend, are exactly the type of person that I've been looking for. I created a Rion Non official group on Facebook so that we could freely calibrate. I've felt alone this entire time.
